Patricia A. “Pat” Walker 78, of Evansville passed away May 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

She was born Aug. 15, 1934 to Henry and Pauline (Daily) Deig.

Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, St. Mary’s School of Nursing, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Evansville.  She worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Seton Manor.  Pat was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral and a Master Gardener.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby L. Walker of 55 years; son, Steven L. Walker (Julie Ann) of Evansville;  daughter, Jennifer A. Bracher (John) of Boonville;  grandchildren, Grant and Grace Walker, Emma, Elizabeth, and John Michael Bracher;  brother, Donald Deig  (Barbara) of Evansville; sister, Marilyn Deig of Evansville;  brother-in-law, Harold Kissel of Haubstadt; aunt, Rose Hickman of Strasburg, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and  sister Carolyn Kissel.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 30 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., with Father Joseph Ziliak officiating .

Burial will be in St. Phillips Cemetery.
