Barbara Lorene (Bailey) Grabert, 79, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born on March 20, 1934 in New Harmony, IN to Delbert and Thelma (Roach) Bailey.

Barbara was a loving homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and the Moose Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Grabert and great grandson Hank Barrett.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Gene (Candie) Grabert and Rodger (Tina) Grabert; daughters, Pam (Dennis) Mercer and Terri (Ray) Kessler all of Mt. Vernon; brother, Mike (Gail) Roach; sisters, Brenda (Charles) Porter, Marnett Robinson, and Mindy Sparks; 6 grandchildren; Nathan (Holly) Kessler, Brock Kessler, Stephanie (Robert) Virtue, Melissa (Chad) Barrett, Sara Grabert, and Angie (Jason) Lyke, and 11 great-grandchildren, and cousins.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Schneider Funeral Home 512 Main St. in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Cynthia Priem officiating with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
