Ruth H. Johnson, 96, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, formerly of Evansville, Indiana born January 5, 1917 to Robert and Martha (Anderson) Harper in McLeansboro, Illinois, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Arbor Village in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
She was united in marriage to
John A. Johnson on June 4, 1943 in the Episcopal Church in Oakland, California and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2000.
She was formerly an employee
of Indiana Bell Telephone Company in Evansville, Indiana from 1937 to 1949 and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Evansville, Indiana.
Surviving are her sons: Brian
(Marilyn) Johnson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin and Alan (Louise) Johnson of
Morristown, New Jersey; 4 grandchildren: Tim Johnson, Erin Johnson, Veronica
Johnson and Amy Johnson; 3 nephews: Gerald DeRoussl
of Sparta, Illinois and Robert and Thomas Harper of Valpariso, Indiana.
Preceding her in death were
her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Poseyville Cemetery in Poseyville, Indiana.
Visitation will also be held
from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Steinke Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45
a.m., Monday, March 25,
2013 at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana.
