Harry Kenneth Davis, 87, of Henderson, Kentucky, born to Ralph and Lottie
(Grigsby) Davis on November 4, 1925, in Posey County, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson,
Kentucky.
He graduated from Poseyville High
School in
1943 and retired after 30 years from Ashland Oil Company. He was a WWII Marine
Corps veteran where he was awarded the Purple Heart from the Pacific Campaign.
He also was a member of the Poseyville Christian
Church; the Poseyville American Legion, Oliver
Marquis Post 278 and a life member of the Poseyville
Masonic Lodge 632.
Surviving are
his daughter: Sue Ellen (Willie) Ramsay of Lexington, Kentucky; a son: Richard
(Delores) Davis of Henderson, Kentucky; sister: Jane Ellen VanCleave;
grandson: Evan Ramsay; four granddaughters: Laura Ramsay, Kristi (Robert) Raley, Kelly (Chris) Hazelwood and Andrea Masterson; seven
great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son: Russell and
brother: James.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Werry Funeral Home
in Poseyville, Indiana with burial in Poseyville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic service starting at 12:30 p.m.
