Brian K. Phillips, 57 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Tuesday afternoon, February 26, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on May 14, 1955 in Evansville, the son of Alvin E. and Mary (Wilhite) Phillips.

He married Pam Blakley and she survives. 

Mr. Phillips worked at the Horizon Center in Mt. Vernon. 

In addition to his wife Pam, he is survived by 1 son, Sam K. Phillips of Mt. Vernon and 1 daughter, Robin E. Phillips of Indianapolis; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael & Kristina Phillips and Gary Phillips, of Mt. Vernon; Roger & Patty Phillips of Owensboro, KY; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Gross of Troy, IL, Mary & Bernard Bigge of St. Phillips, Janet & Dennis Gambrel of Owensville IN and Diane & Herman Turner of Lebanon, IN; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Stanley Alvin Phillips and Stephen R. Phillips. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be from Noon until service
