Bobby Ray Cleveland, 64, passed away Tuesday Feb. 19, 2013 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital in Battle Creek, Mich.

 

He was born on June 10, 1948 in Mount Vernon, the son of the late John and Florence (Mosley) Cleveland.

 

Bobby graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1967 and then joined the U.S. Navy where he was a Seabee and awarded the Viet Nam service medal.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Pamela; two sons, Gregory Lee Curtis of Leonidas, Mich. and James Harold Cleveland of Davenport, Fla.; two daughters, Kimberly Sue Shapley of Leonidas, Mich. and Malinda Florence Cleveland of Palm Coast, Fla.; nine grandchildren; four brothers, John Henry Cleveland of Waterloo, Ill., James David Cleveland of New Carlisle, Ohio, Bill Cleveland of San Bruno, Calif., and Richard Dale Cleveland of Deltona, Fla.; and six sisters, Estelle Casey of Deleon Springs, Fla., Bonnie Lake of Independence, Ky., Wanda Jordon of Evansville, Ruby Gaster of Deland, Fla., Sheila Ainsle of Mount Vernon, and Becky Hartman of Newburgh, Ind.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, Mich., with Pastor Jay Bailey of Three Rivers Bible Church officiating. Military honors were conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard of Great Lakes, Ill.
