Roger A. Shahan, age 56 of Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday evening January 15, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital.

He was born November 19, 1956 at Smith Mills, KY the son of John Caldwell and Goldie (Hollis) Shahan. 

Roger had served in the National Guard. 

He is survived by 1 brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Phyllis Shahan of Mt. Vernon; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Glenn Little of Mt. Vernon and Barbara and Bernard Fonner of Evansville; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dixie Robertson and Carolyn Eaton. 

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 19, 2013 at Pilgram Holiness Church at 2714 Riverside Dr., Evansville. Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
