Mildred Seyffarth, 81, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. She was born on January 24, 1931 in Queens, New York to Charles and Mildred Stutzbach.

Mildred was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Vernon where she was active in the church choir. She served as a Mt. Vernon School Librarian for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Edwin; and her son, James.

Mildred is survived by her sons, John (Debbie) Seyffarth and Eddie (Brenda) Seyffarth; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Edith Naylor and Ruth Ann Knoeller; sister in law, Evelyn Seyffarth.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Schneider Funeral Home 512 Main St. in Mt. Vernon with Fr. Allen Rutherford officiating and burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
