Rawlin Juncker, 80,
of Mt. Vernon, IN went to be with the
Lord on Monday, December 10,
2012.
Rawlin was born October 17, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, IN to the late Charles
and Alma (Esche) Juncker.
He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1950. He served
overseas in Germany with the United
States Army during the Korean War April 9, 1953-March 28, 1955.
Rawlin married Virginia (Hall) Juncker on January 26, 1963. This January they
would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
He was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Rawlin
farmed in the St. Philips area where he lived on the family farm and raised two
sons, Dennis and Jim Juncker. He was a member of the
VFW Post #1114 in Evansville and the American
Legion in Mt. Vernon. He was also a
lifetime member of the Robinson Township Conservation Club. Rawlin
enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family and worrying about the
crops.
In addition to his parents, Rawlin was
preceded in death by brothers, Norbett and Wilton Juncker.
Surviving Rawlin are his wife, Virginia Juncker; sister, Eloise Juncker;
sons, Dennis (Debbie) Juncker, Jim (Shana) Juncker; grandchildren,
Adam (Lauren), Stephanie, Alyssa, Emily, Daniel, and Faith Juncker
and a great-grandson, Enoch Juncker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 5301 S. St. Philip
Road, Pastor Randy Owens
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, where there will be
military rites.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin
Street and from 9:30 A.M. until service time on
Thursday at St. Paul's.
