David Keith Bohleber, age 61, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at his home.

David had worked in the Maintenance Department at Bristol Myers before his retirement in December 2010. He was a beloved Daddy and Papaw and enjoyed spending time with his family and going to breakfast with former coworkers. He also enjoyed collecting Lionel trains and playing on a backhoe. David was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Kevin) Johnston of Mt. Vernon, IN and Brittney Bohleber-Schenk of Evansville; a sister, Linda (Mike) Rosson of Mimbers, NM; brothers, Bob (Donna) Smith of Sebree, KY, Timmy Bohleber of Mt. Vernon, IN, Kenny (Kay) Bohleber of Morristown, TN and Mike (Martha) Bohleber of Mt. Vernon and four grandchildren, Katelyn Montgomery, Klaire Schafer, Ciearra Johnston and Jacob Johnston.

David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy (Short) Bohleber, Sr. and two brothers, William Bohleber, Jr. and Walter Bohleber.

Funeral services for David will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Steve Lintzenich officiating. Burial will follow in St. Philip Church Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
