Myra Sue “Mickey” (Volz) Weilbrenner, 64, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Sunday,
November 4, 2012
at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born on April
8, 1948 in Evansville, IN the only daughter to Leo and Angela
“Ann” (Ruxer) Volz.
Mickey was a
graduate of the class of 1967 at Rex Mundi High School and then went on to graduate from Devry Beauty College. She and her husband owned and operated Weilbrenner Farms. She is a longtime member of St. Matthew
Catholic Church. Mickey enjoyed traveling, yard work, collecting antiques, and
spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by her father.
Mickey is
survived by her husband, of 42 years, Charles Thomas “Tom” Weilbrenner;
son, Alex Weilbrenner and his wife Jenny; daughter,
Julie Keitel and her husband Sean; grandchildren,
Ellie, Emma, and Clay Weilbrenner, Emily and Abbey Keitel; her mother, Ann Volz;
brothers, Phil Volz and his wife Debbie, Rex Volz and his wife Debbie, Dr. Nick Volz
and his wife Linda; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services
will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at St. Matthew Catholic Church 421
Mulberry St. in Mt. Vernon with burial to follow in Black Cemetery.
Visitation will
be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7,
2012 at
Schneider Funeral Home 512 Main St. in Mt. Vernon and continued from 9:00 am until service time on Thursday at the
funeral home.
