Debra Dee ‘Debbie’ (Toler)
Mohr, 50, of Mount
Vernon, Ind., passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her home, with her family by her side after a
short, courageous battle with cancer.
Debbie graduated from the
Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1990 as a Registered Nurse. Debbie
worked at Deaconess Hospital and a physician’s office for many years and then became a licensed
massage therapist at the Evansville Yoga Center and St. Mary’s Women’s Wellness Center. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ-Lippe.
She was a volunteer with Deaconess Hospice and was a past member of the Marrs Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She served
on the Nursery Board, the Sick and Shut-in Committee, as Parish Nurse and sang
in the choir at Zion United Church of Christ-Lippe.
She is survived by her
husband of 32 years, J. J. Mohr; two daughters, Jamie Jo (Nathan) Espenlaub, of Evansville and Jessica Jynelle Mohr,
at home; and her mother, Janet Rae (Smith) Toler, of Mount Vernon, Ind. Also surviving are her brother, Darin Toler, of Mount Vernon; and three grandchildren, Bayla
and Wren Espenlaub and Kayden
Vaupel.
She was preceded in death by
her father, Donald ‘Joe’ Toler; and her brother, David ‘D.J.’ Toler.
Funeral services will begin
at 10
a.m. Tuesday,
November 20, 2012, at Zion
United Church of Christ-Lippe, with the Rev. Jay
Warren and the Rev. Carroll Toler officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation with the family
was held from 2 until 7 p.m. Monday, November 19,2012, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at Zion United Church of Christ-Lippe.
