Paul Eugene Jackson, 69, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Austin, TX on February 19, 1943 to Paul Everett and Eva Dell (Pruitt) Jackson.

Paul retired in 2007 after 40 years of service with ADM where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of First Christian Church, Keck Gonnerman Antique Machinery Association and belonged to the Son’s of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, David and Jerry Jackson.

Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Gross) Jackson of Mt. Vernon; son, Timothy Jackson (Krista) of Evansville; daughter, Sonnie Weil (John) of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren; Jordan Weil (Lauren), Ashton Weil, Susannah Jackson, and Lesley Underwood; and his sister Neva Arnold.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday November 24, 2012 at Schneider Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Rev. John Hilbert officiating and burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
