years of teaching in Sunday School and later as

and mother, Susie was an excellent seamstress and was known to bake up the
greatest oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Susie loved children and always
brightened when a child entered the room. She volunteered with Cub Scouts, Girl
Scouts, Rainbow Girls, and DeMolay Boys. In recent
years she helped Tri Kappa make mittens for newborn babies at the Women and
Children’s Hospital.
