Patricia "Pat" Jane (Burks) Brown, 81, of Evansville, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center.

Pat was born in Posey County on July 30, 1931 to the late George Cassius and Mayme Iva (Cox) Burks.

Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Farrel Brown of Evansville; daughters, Nancy Gauer of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathy Hoefling of Evansville; sons, Randy Brown of Evansville, Danny Brown of Evansville; and by her brothers, Walter "Curly" Burks and Shirley Burks; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sharon Hughes, Charlotte Weatherford, Marietta "Sissy" Roberts, Naomi "Moe" Reinitz; brothers, Gilbert "Pete" Burks, Richard Burks, Charles Burks, and George Burks; and by her grandson, Jeffrey Gauer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, 11 a.m., at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Rev. John Motz officiating. Entombment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
