Prayer for Anniversary by FRANK GRIFFIN
Oh, God, we invoke Thy blessings on all assembled here for the anniversary of St. Matthew's Church.  Grant, we beseech Thee, that these walls be hallowed with deeds of love and service for God and Country; instill into the hearts of all who will meet here, the inspiration to be true to the ideals of our Catholic Faith; quicken their spirit; bless those who have worked and sacrificed to make this St. Matthew's Church a reality and preserve in the hearts of all the traditions of our Holy Catholic Faith.  May this Church be for those who built it, a joy and a pride and a lasting memorial to their service and their loyalty and love, for our Blessed Savior, Jesus Christ.



PHOTO DIRECTORY MESSAGE:  What an honor to be a member of the parish as it celebrates 100 years of worship in this second church in the history of the parish!  You, whose photos and names appear in this book, are really the church, the people of God, the body of Christ.  I thank God for you and for all the lay people, priests and religous who have been part of this parish family.  May the Lord richly bless the next 100 years of parish life here and bring us all safely home to His heavenly family.
