The newly formed Pike County Genealogy Society is a non-profit
organization, formed July 24, 2009, to encourage, gather, share and to preserve genealogy
materials and information relating to Pike County settlers. Membership is $15.00 per
person. Membership entitles you voting privileges, plus the electronic newsletter.
Because of the cost of mailing, we will be sending an electronic
quarterly publication to your e-mail address. To those who do not have e-mail, copies will
be at the Pike Co Public Library genealogy room.
Our meetings will be held the First Thursday of each month
from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Pike County Public Library Genealogy Room. There will be
breaks in the summer period. Everyone is welcome! Membership entitles a member to submit
three free queries of fifty words or less, to the editor for publication in the quarterly.
A fee of $2.00 each is charged to non-members for submitted queries.
Any collection of genealogical materials for the Pike County
Genealogy Society will be housed in the Pike County Public Library, Genealogy Department,
1008 East Maple Street, Petersburg, Indiana 47567
