This Indenture Witnesseth that George
Wilkins and Eliza Wilkins his wife, in consideration of fifteen hundred
dollars, to them paid by Jonathan Jones the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, do hereby grant bargain sell and convey to the said Jonathan
Jones, his heirs and assigns forever, the following Real Estate in Parke County
and State of Indiana and described as follows; The N 1/2 of the SE1/4 of
Section 13: in T.17 N of R. 8 west in the District of Lands subject to sale at
Crawfordsville Indiana, containing eight acre more or less together with all
the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging, to have and to hold the
same to the said Jonathan Jones his heirs and assigns forever, the grantors
their heirs and assigns hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and
assigns that the title so conveyed is clear free and unencumbered, that they
are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid as of a sure perfect and indefeasible
estate of inheritance in fee simple and that they will warrant and defend the
same against all claims whatsoever.
In witness whereof the said George Wilkins and Eliza Wilkins his
wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this 28th day of March 1861.
