DEED BOOK
This Indenture
Witnesseth, that Samuel Wilkins and Evaline Wilkins his wife of Parke County
Indiana, in consideration of Four thousand Dollars to them paid by Henry L
Linton the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain,
sell and convey to the said Henry L Linton his heirs and assigns forever, the
following Real Estate in Parke County and State of Indiana and described as
follows towit: Part of the West half of the South East quarter section (24)
town (16) N R (9) west, commencing fifty two rods South East quarter section
(24) town (16) R (9) west commencing fifty two rods South of the Center of said
section, thence South 38 rods, thence East 80 rods, thence north 38 rods, thence
West 80 rods to the beginning containing 19 acres more or less. Also Lots 1,2 & 3 in the partition and
division of the Real Estate of Michael Wilkins, deceased in the Parke Probate
Court at the March Term thereof 1848 containing 103 25/100 acres, reference
being had to the final Record of said division and partition volume 6th page
159 will more fully show. Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same
belonging. To have and to hold
the same to the said Henry L Linton his heirs and assigns forever, the grantors
their heirs and assigns hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and
assigns, that the title so conveyed is clear, free and unencumbered that they
are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid, as of a sure and indefeasible
estate of inheritance in fee simple. (Except two mortgages to the School fund which the grantee is to
pay) and that they will Warrant and Defend the same against all claims
whatsoever. In witness whereof,
the said Samuel Wilkins and Evaline Wilkins his wife have hereunto set their
hands and seals this twenty sixth day of March A.D. 1857.

The State of
Personally
appeared before me, the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said County,
Samuel Wilkins and Evaline Wilkins his wife the grantors in the above
conveyance and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed. Witness my hand and seal this 26 day of March
