Final record of the estate of
Michael Wilkins, Deceased, Be it remembered that on the Twelfth day of July in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven, in vacation of
our said court Letters of administration were granted by the Clerk thereof to
Samuel Wilkins and George Wilkins on the estate of the said Michael Wilkins,
deceased, the said Samuel and George Wilkins having first filed their bonds
conditioned according to law, in the penalty of Sixteen hundred dollars with I
Tilliman their security thereon, which bond and letters; and oath of the said
administrators read in the words and figures following towit: Know all men by these presents, That we,
Samuel Wilkins and Isaac Tilliman of the County of Parke and State of Indiana,
are held and firmly bound unto the State of Indiana in the penal sum of Sixteen
hundred dollars,m lawful money of the United States, to the payment whereof,
well and truly to be made, we find ourselves , our heirs, executors, and
administrators, jointly and severally, firmly, by these presents,sealed with
our seals, and dated this 12th day of July, Anna Domini 1847. The condition of the above obligation is
such, that if the above ?, Samuel Wilkins, shall diligently and faithfully
execute the duties and trusts committed to him as joint administrator of the
estate of Michael Wilkins late of the County of Parke and State of Indiana,
deceased, and obey all orders and decrees of the Probate Court of the said
County of Parke, made pursuant to law, touching the administration of the said
estate of the said Michael Wilkins, deceased, entrusted to him as aforesaid,
then the above obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force and ? in law. Taken,

Know all men by these presents, that
we, George Wilkins and Isaac Tilliman of the County of Parke and State of
Indiana, are held and firmly bound unto the state of Indiana the penal sum of
Sixteen hundred dollars, lawful money of the United States, payment whereof,
well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and
administrators jointly and severally firmly, by these presents, sealed with our
seals and dated the 12th day of July, Anna Domini 1847. The condition of the above obligation is such
that if the above bounden, George Wilkins, shall diligently and faithfully

as such administrators are duly authorized to take upon themselves the
administration of such estate, according to law.

Whereas Martha
Wilkins, widow of Michael Wilkins, deceased, to George Wilkins, Samuel Wilkins,
Joseph D Russell, Nancy Russell his wife, formerly Nancy Wilkins, John Tinbrook
and Mary W. Tinbrook his wife, formerly Elizabeth Wilkins, Benjamin Rankins,
and Martha E Rankins his wife, formerly Martha E Wilkins, heirs at law of said
deceased, have filed in the probate court of said county their petition against
John Wilkins also an heir at law of said deceased in which they allege that the
said Michael, deceased, was at the time of his death seized in fee of the E 1/2
SW 1/4 Sect 19 T 16 N R 8 W Containing 80 acres. The W fr. SW
1/4 Sec 19 T 16 N R 8 W containing 118 28/100. Twenty Six acres off the N end E 1/2 of the
NE 1/4 Sec 25 T 16 N of R 9 West: 54 acres off the S end of the E 1/2 SE 1/4
Sec 24 Town 16 R 9 W. Also Lot 148 in
Montezuma in Said County and praying the Court to appoint Commissioners
pursuant to the statute in Such cases made and provided, to assign and Set off
to the Said Martha Wilkins her dower on Said lands and tenements, and to make
partitionof the residue of said tracts of land and Town lot with their
appurtenances among the Said Several heirs at law of said deceased and further
that that part of said Lands improved by Said Samuel Wilkins Shall be valued as
if no improvements were made thereon, and that Said Samuel Shall have his Share
of Said land Set off to so include Said improvements made sy Said Samuel on
Said land.
We therefore command you to Summon
the Said John Wilkins, if he may be found in your Baliwick personally to be and
appear before our judge and our probate court to be holden at the Court House
in Rockville on the 2nd Monday in December next insuring then and there in said
court to plea answer on demand to said petition, hereof the Said John will in

undersigned commissioners proceeded to survey, assign, and set over to Martha
Wilkins her Dower of and in the real estate of Michael Wilkins Decd that is to
say one third part in value of the said real estate; We also made partition of
and alloted to th eheirs the residue of the said real estate as follows,
namesly, To Samuel Wilkins Lot No 1 which is the North side of the lands of
said Decd also to the said Samuel Wilkins Lot No 148 in the Town of Montezuma,

The State of
Whereas at the December Term 1847 of
the Probate Court of Said County, when the final hearing of the Petition of
Martha Wilkins, widow and George Wilkins, Samuel Wilkins, Joseph D Russell and
others, heirs of Michael Wilkins, deceased, against John Wilkins, heir at law
of said deceased, for the assignment of the dower of Said Martha Wilkins of and
in the real estate of Said Michael Wilkins, deceased, and Partition of the residue
of Said real estate among the Said Several heirs of said deceased, it was among
other things ordered, adjudged and decreed that the Said Martha Wilkins should
have and recover her dower of and in said lands, and that Partition of the
residue thereof be made among the said Several heirs of the Said deceased
agreeably to the prayer of said Petition: and you were then and there appointed
Commissioners to assign said dower and make such partition.
We therefore command you that you proceed without delay, after being first duly sworn
according to law to assign and set over to the said Martha Wilkins her dower of
and in the real estate, aforesaid, towit: The E frac. SW 1/4
Sec 19 T 16 N R 8W containing 80 acres.
The W frac. SW 1.4 Sec 19 T 16 N R 8 W containing
118 28/100: 26 acres off the N End of the E 1/2 NE 1/4 Sec 25 T 16 N R 9 W: 54
acres of the S end E 1/2 SE 1.4 Sec 24 T 16 N R 9 W: Also lot No 148 in the
Town of Montezuma, towit, the one third part thereof in value, agreeably to the
Statute in such cases made and provided: and that you then and there make
Partition of the residue of the Said Several tracts of land, and Town lot among
the said heirs of the said deceased by allotting, assigning and Setting apart
to each of the said heirs the one Seventh part thereof in value in Severalty
except that in making said partition you value the lands occupied and imporved
by Samuel Wilkins as if he had made no improvements theron, and that you assign
allot and set apart to the said Samuel Wilkins his share of said real estate
where he has made such improvements, and where he now lives, agreeably to the
Statute in such cases made and provided and the respective rights of the Said
parties and that they do make report of all their proceedings to our Said Court
at the next Term thereof to be holden on the Second monday of March next,
plainly and distinctly under your hand and seals together with this writ. Witness John G Davis Clerk of our
