This Indenture made this twenty first day of
November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven
between George Wilkins and Icy Tissy his wife, of the county of Parke County
and State of Indiana of the first part and Norbourn Thomas of the county of
Fountain and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to them
in hand paid the receipt hereof is acknowledged doth hereby give grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever, all that certain tract or parcel of land situated in the county of
Parke and State aforesaid and known by being the North East fraction of Section
number three in Township no. seventeen north of Range nine west in the district
of land offered for sale at Crawfordsville Indiana. To have and to hold the said granted and
bargained premises together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, and the
said party of the first party their heirs executors and administrators doth
covenant with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they
are lawfully seized of the premises above conveyed and that they are free from
all incumbrance and the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against
the lawful claims and demands of all persons the said party of the first part
and their heirs will forever warrant and defend. In witness thereof, the said party of the first part have
hereunto set their hand and seals the day and year above written. Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence

Be it remembered that on this day towit the
21st day of November A.D. 1837 before me the subscriber a justice of the peace
in an for said county personally came George Wilkins and Icy Tissy his wife the
grantors named in the foregoing deed of conveyance and separately acknowledged
the signing and dealing said deed to be their act and deed for the uses and
purposes therein contained and the said Icy Tissy wife of the said George being
by me first examined separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged that
she signed and sealed said deed as her own voluntary act, without any
compulsion of coercion from her said husband.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and
year above written.
