This one of a kind feature of the West Baden Springs Hotel was the only covered, double decker, 1/3 mile long bicycle and pony track in the country. Within the oval of the track was a full sized baseball diamond and field. Guest would rent pony carts or bicycles on the second floor twelve feet above the ground,which was built in regulation style and banked to allow the highest rate of bicycle speeds. It was electrically lit at night. The track was built during the 1890s.
