 B. H. Lindley killed a bird a few days ago, not knowing at the time what kind of a bird it was.  It proved to be a pigeon and bore the number “U14183.”  It doubtless belonged to a flock of carriers that had got lost.  Mr. Lindley was sorry he had killed it after he found out what it was.
