Souvenier Mug from the West Baden Spring Hotel, ca. 1900
Souvenier Mug from the West Baden Spring Hotel, ca. 1900. The mug is
cream colored with black drawing. On top is says "Home of Sprudle" To
the right of the hotel is church with a tall steeple, to the right is
power plant (for heat). This mug was kept by Cora Evaline (Gilliatt)
Henderson who worked there for several years before marrying Lee
Henderson in 1902. She was married 4 times before marrying Lee, to whom
she was married for 50 years. We assume she met her other husbands
while working in the hotel. At the time Indiana (and Paoli) were known
as "Divorce Mills". Grandma Henderson did her part!. Submitted by here
grandson, Robin Henderson of Madison.
