This column was found in a scrapbook belonging to Tom McCart. There was no date on the column:

"J.R. MOORE is now a resident of our village. Dollie DILLINGER who has been attending school has returned home. Mrs. Susan LONG, of Blanchester, Ohio, is visiting her brother James M. HOBSON. Henry, the infant son of Henry and Ressie ASSANGER, of New York City, died a few days since. We extend our sympathy in the great bereavement. John DAVIS now hunts catnip and sings baby-bye. All on account of a nine pound girl at his house. "Job" and family visited our village Saturday and Sunday. A flock of wild geese numbering over one hundred passed over Lick Creek recently. An eagle is reported to have been seen near here several times, recently. The singing will be held on Sunday night hereafter. Bro. LASHBROOK deserves praise for his efforts to improve the young people in singing. Married, WOLFE-HILL. Sunday evening, Nov. 13, Rev. H.W. LASHBROOK officiating, George W. WOLFE and Marie J. HILL. We wish them a pleasant voyage down time's stream. --Lotus"
