George W. Moore died 1856 age 37 yrs. Buried at Stampers Creek Cem.
Mary J. Wife of George died 1864. Wm. Moore 1754/1832 Rev. Sol. bur.

If Nelly was the mother she was 14y6m old when Joseph R. was born.
G.W. Jr. was 6 mo. old when his father married Mary Jane Vest. A Vest
descendant said Mary Jane 'raised the Moore children'.
Of the opinion George W. Moore Sr. was a son of Wm. 1754/1832.
Joseph R. Moore 1829/1926 was a Captain in Co. E 24th Ind. Vol. Inf.
With his Bible and other papers was a diary of the year 1861 pertaining
to the Civil War. One member of his family said it was written by him.
At present Aug. 1964 I wonder.
He says, "his home was at Claysville (Vernon Twp. Washington Co.
Ind.)he was going to Paoli to bid his sister and bro. in-law farewell".
To my knowledge his family did not live in Wash. Co.
1860 Ind. census - above Co. and Twp.

Doubt if this man served, 36 yrs old and 6 children.
(**Note by Phyllis Hill--My great grandfather, Isaac Newton Breeden
served when he was over 40 and had at least 6 children)

Mary Moore wife of Silas b. 1800 d. 11/5/1847.
These two Wm. Moores, four yrs. diference in their ages, both Rev.
sol. & lived three miles apart. They were not bros. Could be
cousins? Of the opinion the Moore men married women in Orange County.
This would account for some of the names we are unable to place. MUST
GET MOORE marriages in Washington Co. Bet some Orange County Moore
men m. in Wash. Co.
My notes: children of Wm. Moore b. 1758 d. 1844 Wash. Co., Ind.
