Cane Creek Cemetery Repair

Some much needed repair work to the old part of Cane Creek Cemetery was completed August 24, 2009. Delbert Himsel, of Ireland, and a team of volunteers repaired approximately 40 broken grave markers and straightened an additional 30. Volunteers Jerry & Doretha Wilz of Jasper, MaryAlice Parks and Sue Fuhrman of Jasper, and Cane Creek Cemetery board member Bob Watts joined Himsel to do the work. Kathy Kalb, of the Springs Valley Herald was on hand to record the work for the newspaper.
