Enlisted
on 19 September 1941 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Served with
the 503rd Parachute Regiment "Rock Force". First Airborne Regiment to
fight in the Pacific. Landed at Marham Valley, New Guinea on 5 September
1943. Awarded The Presidential Unit Citation for Corregidor. The
Philippine Presidential Unit Citation of 17 October-44 to July 1945.
