Entered in to service of the US Army on 4 August 1944 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Served with the 87th Infantry Division "Golden Acorn" 3rd US Army in the European Theater of Operation. Entered in to combat on 7 March 1945 near Feusdorf, Germany. Was near Falkenstein, Germany at wars end. Upon on return from Germany was assigned to military police duty at Sideling Hill, Pennsylvania a Prisoner of war camp a satellite of Indian Gap, Pennsylvania prisoner of war camp. Discharged July 1946.
