Enlisted on 7 October 1943 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Served with the 2nd Infantry Division "Indianhead Division" 23rd Infantry Regiment Company I. Assigned to the V Corps, First US Army, 12th Army Group. European Theater. Unit landed on Omaha Beach on 7 June 1944 near St. Laurent-sur-Mer. Attacking across the Aure River and proceeded to take hill 192. and advanced to the Vire River Normandy, France on 4 August 1944 Where he was Killed in Action.
