World War II Veteran.Entered service 31 July 1943 at Louisville,Kentucky. Assigned to the 81st Infantry Division[Wild Cat].321st Regimental Combat Team Company L. Served in the Pacific Theater. Killed in Action on 20 October 1944 on Peleliu, Palau Island by a hand grenade thrown into his fox hole. Awards include Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal[Posthumous],American Theater Campaign Medal,Asia-Pacific Campaign Medal with Arrow Head,Philippine President Unit Citation.
