Enlisted on 17 July 1943 at Louisville, Kentucky. Discharged on 29 June 1946. Served with the 613th Field Artillery Battalion[pack mules]. Trained at Camp Carson, Colorado. Moved to Fort Ord, California on 23 September 1944.Moved to Camp Anza, California on 6 October 1944. Boarded the USS General Butner on 19 October 1944. Arrived in Melbourne, Australia on 10 November 1944. Arrived at Camp Kanchrapara, India on 23 November 1944.Arrived at Myitkynia, Burma. Assigned to the 5332nd Brigade[provisional] later known as Mars Task Force in North and Central Burma Campaigns. Awards are Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, , Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Battle Stars and World War II Victory Medal.
