Commissioned as a 2nd LT. June 1942. Flew with the 93rd Fighter
Squadron 81st Fighter Group at Goxhill,Lincolnshire,England.Pilot of
Bell aircraft P-39[P-400]Airacobra BX195. Crashed on 2 November 1942
near Settle,England[engine failure]Directed his aircraft away from
the town and baled out to late for the chute to fully open.He was
killed instantly.
