Northeast Township is located one and one half miles west of Trimble Cemetery on
land entered by William Reed. At one time there was a number of graves with
rough stone markers without inscriptions. The graves were plowed over long ago.

Known to be buried there were David Reed and his wife Rachael. They
came from Kentucky in 1812, following their son William and family, who had come
in 1811. It is not known what other members of the family were buried there.
This information was supplied by the late Charles Finly, a descendant of
David Reed.

In this field
somewhere is probably where Reed Cemetery was located. This field is in Section
12 of Northeast Township, Orange County, IN. Section 12 is on the east side of
the road shown in the picture. This is CR 500E or Tater Road. This road is
about 1 1/2 miles west of Trimble Cemetery. This road shown in the picture
divides Sections 11 and 12. This field and road is between State Rd. 337 and CR
400N.
