            Trained at Camp Abbott, Oregon, Fort Belvoir, Virginia and Camp 
            Reynolds, Pennsylvania.  Served with the 10th Armored Division,55th 
            Armored Engineer Battalion.Killed in action on 23 February 1945 near 
            Ayl, Germany in the Cologne Plains.Is buried at Luxembourg American 
            Cemetery Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. Awards include the Purple 
            Heart Medal.
