Civil War Veteran. Enlisted on 9 March 1864. Discharged on 8 August 1865 at Macon, Georgia. Served with the 17th Indiana Infantry Regiment Company F.1st Brigade,2nd Division Wilson's Cavalry Corps Military Division of Mississippi. Left Louisville, Kentucky in November 1864 over taken Roddey and Forrest's forces at Ebenezer Church near Selma, Alabama taken the city and on to Macon, Georgia. Posted there until 8 August 1865.
