1944 REPORTED ABOARD THE USS MONA ISLAND ARG-9, A LUZON CLASS INTERNAL
COMBUSTION ENGINE REPAIR SHIP. ASSIGNED TO THE PACIFIC FLEET COMMANDER SERVICE
FORCES. 18 FEBRUARY 1945 BECAME FLAG SHIP FOR MINE SQUADRON 10 OPERATING IN THE
MARSHALL ISLANDS, ULITHI AND OKINAWA. DISCHARGED ON 2 AUGUST 1946 RATING OF SHIP
SERVICEMAN LAUNDRY SECOND CLASS PETTY OFFICER.
