Service--Oct. 15, 1777, Court  Martial Record, Augusta Co.,  Vir., David
McKinney,  Capt.  Moffett's   CO.,  Vir.  Militia,   returned as a delinquent for  not  appearing at a pri.  muster,  Oct. 3, 1777, and was fined.  Oct.  27, 1778,  David  McKinney of Capt. Trimble's CO., Vir. Militia, returned as a delinquent  for not appearing at a pri. muster Oct. 6, 1778, and was to appear at next  Court Martial. April  13, 1779, it was shown he had removed to Rockbridge  Co. Oct. 16, 1779,  David McKinney of Capt. Simpson's CO., Vir. Militia,  returned delinquent for not appearing at  pri. muster in Dec., 1778, and, was acquitted.
Proof-Adjutant  General's Office, War  Department.  Pension: R 6766	.
Died May 7, 1822.   Buried  Trimble  Graveyard, East Twp..  Stone.

lace.
