Enlisted on 6 December 1943 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. 
Served in the China-Burma-India Theater with the 14th Air Force 308th Bomb Group on B-24 Liberator Bomber as a nose gunner also a the togglier to release the bombs if no Bombardier aboard. Award include Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal, Asia-Pacific Campaign Medal, United States Army Air Force Meritorious Service Commendation, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal. Discharged on 13 October 1946 at Scott Field, Illinois.
