Division [Blood and Fire]255th Infantry Regiment Headquaters and
Headquaters Company.And the 863rd Field Artillery Battery B. Took
part in the liberation of Dachau concentration subcamp at
Landsberg,Germany.Awards include Combat Infantry Badge,American
theater medal,European,African,Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with
three campaign stars for Ardennes/Alsace Campaign, Rhineland
Campaign,Central Europe Campaign,World War II Victory medal and Army
of Occupation Medal,Distinguished Unit Award and French Croix de
Guerre with Palm.
