            the 80th Infantry Division" Blue Ridge" 318th Infantry Regiment 
            Company G 2nd Battalion at Lahr,Germany in the European Theater of 
            Operation.Was promoted to Private First Class MOS 745 [rifleman] on 
            13 March 1945.Killed in action on 10 April 1945 near 
            Schmira,Germany. Awards are The Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart 
            Medal [Posthumous],American Theater Campaign 
            Medal,European,African,Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze 
            campaign stars for the Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. 
            Buried at Paoli, Indiana community cemetery.
