THE GERMAN SUBMARINE U-248. APRIL, 1945 RESCUED THE SURVIVORS OF THE USS
FREDRICK C. DAVIS IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC. DISCHARGED AT GREAT LAKES NAVAL
STATION, ILLINOIS ON 7 DECEMBER 1945 RATING OF SEAMAN FIRST CLASS.
