Trained at Fort Hood,Texas.Served with the 96th Infantry Division "Deadeyes" 383rd Infantry Regiment Company K in the Pacific Theater of Operation.Discharged in April 1946.Awards include Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster,Two Purple Heart Medals,Good Conduct medal, Presidential Unit Citation and Combat Infantry Badge.
