Enlisted on 29 March 1941 at Louisville, Kentucky. Discharged October 30 1945. Assigned to the 712th Tank Battalion Company C. Attached to the 90th Infantry Division in the European Theater. Departed Boston on board the S.S. Exchequer on 27 February 1943 to Scotland. Entered Europe at Normandy on 29 June 1944.Combat in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. August 1945 at Amberg, Germany. Award include The Purple Heart.
