Madelene M. (Rodman) Alfeld

Madelene M. Alfeld, 95, of Churubusco, passed away on August 30, 2017 at Renaissance Village in Fort Wayne. Born in Sturgis, Michigan, on July 29, 1922. She was a daughter to Richard and Opal (Young) Rodman. She worked for 14 years as an attendant at the State Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was married on January 7, 1978 to Harold J. Alfeld. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1996. Madelene is survived by four sons, Richard (Drucilla) Biddle, Lee Biddle, Phillip Biddle, Kevin (Tina) Biddle; a daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Hackett; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Biddle; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse she is preceded in death by her sister, Leonteen Fletter and a son Danny Biddle. By Madelene's request there will be no services. Benjamin A. Bailey Sr.

May 25, 1932 -- September 27, 2017
Benjamin A. Bailey Sr., 85, of Howe, died at 11:29 am on Wednesday, September 27 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He had been in declining health. He was born on May 25, 1932, in Jasper, MI, to Paul Revere and Beulah (Warner) Bailey. On July 10, 1974, in Howe, he married Carmen Arendt; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter, Tonya (Scott) Christner of Howe; four sons, Brad Bailey of Waldron, MI, Brian (Kelly) Bailey of White Pigeon, MI, David (Karena) Bailey of Mooresville, NC, Ben (Melissa) Bailey of O'Fallon, MO; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and James Bailey; three sisters, Hazel Bishop, Eleanor Shadewald, and Pauline Feller. He was self-employed for most of his life. He was a farmer and owner/operator of a trucking company, a bowling alley, a restaurant, and a motel. He loved spending time with his family and was an outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. Benjamin served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 30 and for one hour prior to the 2:00 pm funeral service on Sunday, October 1 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Harold Gingerich. There will be a brief military burial rites service following the funeral. Family and friends may gather at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury for a graveside service at 10:00 am on Monday, October 2. Memorials may be given to 4th District Homeless Veterans.

Captain Eric J. Balliet

Captain Eric J. Balliet, 41, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 during a training session with the Fort Wayne Fire Department. He was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. Ericgraduated from Northop High School in 1994 and earned his associates degree from Ivy Tech. Eric was a 19 year veteran with the Fort Wayne Fire Department; a paramedic with Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, a Deputy Coroner with the Allen County Coroner's office since 2009, Captain of Traffic Division for Allen County Sheriff Reserves and Dean of Campers at the Great Lake Burn Camp of Jackson, MI. He was a member of Pathway Christian Church. Eric was passionate about his family as well as his service to the community. He received numerous achievements through both Fort Wayne Fire Department in addition to the other organizations he served. His family and friends will miss his love, and his ability to light up a room with his humor and genuine love for people. His heart was larger than his stature. December 30, 1981 -- September 6, 2017
Steven Kenneth Berlin, 35, of Warsaw, went to be with the Lord at 3:07 pm, on Wednesday, September 6, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born on December 30, 1981, in Elkhart, to Butch Berlin and Ann Vitali. Surviving is his father, Butch (Lisa) Berlin of Middlebury; his mother, Ann Drew of LaGrange; five sisters, Stephanie Decker of Warsaw, Jennifer Berlin of LaGrange, Yolanda Martinez of Bronson, MI, April Koscher of Bristol, Samantha Berlin of Elkhart; nine nieces and nephews, Jacinda Duff, Devlin Duff, Natalya Decker, Aubrey Gump, Jaydin Williams, Jahreal Williams, Gracelynn Lowe, Jase Foster and Kyndzlee Dickson; grandmothers, Kathleen Schrock of Middlebury and Marlene Berlin of Shipshewana. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Berlin and Larry Vitali. Steven had worked in local RV factories. He was a huge USC fan, enjoyed fishing and golfing. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for anybody. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, September 11, followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Douglas Paul Bird

Douglas Paul Bird, "Doug" , went to be home with the Lord on August 16, 2017 He was 56 years old. He was born on July 13, 1961 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Dale and Norma Bird. His wife Leslie, daughters, Shaka, Andrea and Dougs sister Karen (Jeffrey) Palmer, and brothers Lynn (Christina) Bird and Jerry (Renee) Bird have fond memories of Doug. Doug was preceded in death by a brother. Doug loved the Lord and his passion was to share the gospel message with as many people as he could. He would say, "That's my job man!" He is missed but we know we will see him in eternity. His favorite bible verse was Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto me and I will answer you and I will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Rhea M. (West) Bohnke

Rhea M. Bohnke, 90, of Monroeville, IN passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne. She was born on Saturday, November 6, 1926 in Pueblo, Colorado the daughter of the late Summers E. West and the late Rhea B. (de Laubenfels) West. She married Richard F. Bohnke on June 5, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock and he survives after 68 years of marriage! Rhea was a Lutheran school teacher and educator. At the age of 17, she began her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse, teaching all eight grades in rural Pueblo, Colorado. This occurred during World War II and was permitted since she received her emergency teaching certificate. Following the war, she enrolled at St. John College in Winfield, Kansas and received her teaching degree in 1947. She then moved to Monroeville, Indiana where she began her teaching career which included St. John Lutheran School, Flatrock; Central Lutheran School; and Emmanuel Lutheran School, Soest before retiring after 30 years. In addition to her teaching, she was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML). Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick" Bohnke of Monroeville; son, Michael (Sara "Sally") Bohnke of Fort Wayne; daughter, Michele (William) Hosmon of Evansville; daughter, Peggy (Gary) Turner of Searcy, AR; daughter, Patty (Ronald) Clark of Martinsville; brother, Thomas (Doris) West of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Hal (Sondra) West of Canon City, CO; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Bohnke (in infancy); a brother, Daniel West; and two sisters, Charlotte Kramer and Helen West (in infancy). Following a private burial service in the morning, funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock with Rev. Patricia "Pat" Ann Bontrager White, 75, of Goshen, formerly of Middlebury died at 7:24 pm, on Tuesday, October 3, at Courtyard of Goshen, where she had stayed the past two months. She had been in declining health the past year and a half. She was born on May 17, 1942, in Mexico, MO, to Wallace and Nellie (Teall) White. Surviving are daughter, Joni (Ben) Jones of Jackson, MI; two sons, Tony Bontrager of Goshen, Troy (Angie) Bontrager of Milford; eight grandchildren, one great grandson; three sisters, Marge Vaugh of Henryetta, TX, Helen Gray of Benton Harbor, MI, Charlotte Hoffman of South Bend; three brothers, Jack White of Middlebury, Don (Sheila) White of Hannibal, MO, Tim "J.T." (Addie) White of Bristol. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Bontrager; two sisters, JoAnn Singell and Betty Hoffman. Patricia loved her grandchildren dearly. She had graduated from Elkhart High School in 1960 and had attended The Church in Benton Harbor and Gospel Kingdom Church in Louisville, KY. Nathan W. Boothby

Nathan "Nate" W. Boothby, 38, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 after a four year battle with cancer. Born in Kokomo, Indiana, Nate was the son of Jack and Ruthanne Boothby. He graduated from Western High School and earned his bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer Technology from Purdue University and his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He worked with Navistar for 11 years prior to working up to the end of his life at Ultra Electronics as Production Program Manager. Nate was a wonderful son, a loving husband, a caring dad, and an awesome, "smart ass" friend. His life revolved around his family, especially his wife Amber, and his two children, Harbor and Cannon. When Nate wasn't working he enjoyed relaxing on the boat with a beer in his hand or working on a project around the house. Nate also enjoyed being outside, shooting, watching Purdue Football, was always up for a good political debate, listening to music, and being around family and friends. Nate highly disliked bees, and was not prompt for anything, and everything in life was a competition (he didn't handle losing well). Nate loved to learn and with that knowledge he always passed it on to his children. He left his unique impression on those he met and that will never be forgotten. Surviving are his wife, Amber Boothby of Fort Wayne; children, Harbor Boothby, Cannon Boothby; parents, Jack and Ruthanne boothby of Kokomo; brother, Matthew (Beth) Boothby of Bloomington and children (Alex, Eli, Kaitlyn); grandpa, Jack Boothby; brother-in- laws, Riley Hudson of Fort Wayne, Tyler Hudson of Muncie, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Arlene (Nicklow) Bowyer

Arlene Bowyer, 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Golden Years Homestead. She was born in East Bethlehem Township, Washington County, PA the daughter of the late Hubert Nicklow and the late Lulu Pearl (Parker) Nicklow. She married James Bowyer on October 12, 1960 in Republic, PA and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2012. Arlene was employed with the Pennsylvania State Police until her marriage to James. Following their marriage, she became and retired as a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. Arlene loved reading true crime mysteries. She was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan and a Notre Dame Football fan. She was a loving mother and grandmother to anyone lucky enough to know her. Survivors include her daughter, Kristalle (Daniel) Dellinger of Fort Wayne, IN; grandson, James Wadsworth of Fort Wayne, IN; granddaughter, Katelynn Dellinger of Fort Wayne, IN; & granddaughter, Brionna Dellinger of Fort Wayne, IN. Joanne Bruce, 84, passed to her eternal life Saturday August 26, 2017. She was born February 19, 1933 in Jackson, MI to the late Joseph and Augusta Will. Joanne worked and retired as Lead Wire Cutter for G.E. for 31 years. After retirement Joanne worked for Agra-Stats for 11 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Elex Club and Quarter Century Club and past President of the West Central Neighborhood Association. Surviving are her children, Denise (Judy Tietje) Bruce, Cheryl (Randy) Dunn, Beverly (Steve) Popov, Joseph (Tina) Bruce, 10 grandchildren, Alicia (Tim), Andrew, Andrea, Nick (Nikki), Chris (Kerry), Danielle (Michael), Brandon (Kalyn), Justin (Emily), Jordan (Heather), Austin and 12 great-grandchildren and a close family friend Carol Salge, sisters, Betty (Gary) Bailey, Shirley Echelbarger. John Robert Bruick

John Robert Bruick, 63, of Clear Lake and formerly of Kendallville, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne from complications following surgery. He was born February 11, 1954 in Fort Wayne to Robert M. and Phyllis G. (Meese) Bruick. While growing up in New Haven, John attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. He spent his childhood summers at Clear Lake, where he also attended Clear Lake Lutheran Church. John graduated from New Haven High School in 1972. Following high school, he worked for Zollner Corporation until 1977. On December 17, 1976, John married Cheryle Heller in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. In 1977, he began working for his father-in-law, Don Heller, as a well driller for Heller Well Drilling. In 1984, John purchased the business, becoming owner and president. In late 2015, he retired after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. As a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, John served as the head usher for Saturday evening services and was a member of the adult choir. Survivors include his former spouse and their children Jessica, Joel, and Julia, as well as his beloved dog, Kip, all of Kendallville. He is also survived by his parents of Fort Wayne, his sister Cheryl (Michael) Sorge of Fort Wayne, his brother David (Rhonda) Bruick of Louisville, Kentucky, and former sister-in-law Lisa McCue of Clermont, Florida. Also surviving are nieces Tiffany Sorge-Smith, Lindsay Bruick, Carly Sorge, Lindsay McCue, Allyson McCue and nephews Ryan Bruick, Nicholas Bruick, Martin Sorge, four great-nieces and three great-nephews. John was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and JoAnn Heller. Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Young Family Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will be from 10am to 1pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 1pm, officiated by Reverand Jeffrey Teeple of Peace Lutheran Church. Edna M. (Zehrung) Burner

September 28, 1919 -- August 22, 2017
Edna M. Burner, 97, of Mishawaka, died at 6:40 am on Tuesday, August 22, at Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend. She was born on September 28, 1919 in Mishawaka to Carl and Josephine (Andrews) Zehrung. Surviving are her two daughters, Sara (Mike) Avery of Middlebury, Suzzanne (Melvin "Toshi") Kamika of Wahiawa, Oahu, HI; son, Bruce Albert (Carly) Burner of Irvington, KY; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Fred Burner; three brothers, Ralph Zehrung, Albert Zehrung, Harvey Zehrung; three sisters, June Dixson, Mildred Galbert and Gertrude Crocker. Edna was a bookkeeper and worked for Scotmore Lumber Company for many years. She was one of only a few women still living that were part of the W.A.C., Woman's Auxiliary Corp. She ended up merging into the US Army in the 1st Army Corp as a Sargent. She enjoyed reading, crouching and was a member of the Red Hatters. The family will hold private funeral services. Betty G. (Millhouse) Campbell

Betty G. Campbell, 92, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Betty was a resident of both Fort Wayne and Fremont, IN, where she lived on Long Beach Lake. She worked with General Electric for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Messiah Lutheran Church. Betty was a recipient of the G.E. Quarter Century Club. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (Bruce) Scherer of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren, Stacy Gilbert, Jennifer Scherer, and Christopher Scherer; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler Gilbert and Madison Gilbert. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Marie Millhouse; and 3 brothers, Nelson, Richard, and Gilbert Millhouse. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at D. O. Romayne (Bellinger) Carnahan-Chapman

Romayne Carnahan-Chapman, 90, passed Saturday, September 23, 2017 at home with family and friends at her side. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter to the late, Andrew J. Bellinger and Emma P. (Wertman) Bellinger. She had moved to Arkansas and lived there until a few years ago. She was a retired school teacher, teaching in Arkansas and had worked at the Federal Court House here in Fort Wayne. She is survived by a son, Rodney Carnahan of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Shane, Rochell, Cory and Bruce; great grandchildren, Alex, Jackson, Siles, James, Jr. and Amber; nephew, Norm Bellinger; great niece, Jan; and close friends, Bill and Karla Presson, Barb and Angie Turner. She was born October 7, 1928, in Garrett, Kentucky, to Jess and Florinda (Sparkman) Hicks. She married George Charles. He preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage. Fanny Christner, 98, of Shipshewana, died at 10:03 am, on Wednesday, August 30, at Life Care Center, LaGrange. She was born on December 25, 1918, in LaGrange County, to Sam A. and Edna (Yoder) Schlabach. On October 31, 1946, in Topeka, she married Christian Christner; he died September 1, 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Edna (Daniel) Hochstetler of Shipshewana, Mary (Ferman) Miller of Goshen; two sons, Amos (Fannie) Christner of Delhi, IA, William "Willy" (Esther) Christner of Shipshewana; 13 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; five sisters, Emma Hochstetler, Lizzie Bender, Edna Mast, Mattie Mullet, and Katie (Felty) Fry all of Topeka; brother, Ervin Schlabach of Shipshewana. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one great grandson, Kyle Bunten; three sisters, Susan Stutzman, Wilma Mullet, and Ida Schlabach. Robert Clingan

Robert "Bob" Clingan, 73, of Hudson died Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 10:27 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born August 15, 1943, in Angola to Waldron and Mary Louise (Eckert) Clingan. On August 2, 1964, in Flint he married Emily Call. Mr. Clingan worked at Sheets Oil and Gas in Angola, Orland LP in Orland, and retired from Vestil Manufacturing in Angola. He was a member of the Ashley Masonic Lodge #614. He served on the Helmer, Hudson and Salem Center Fire Departments for a total of 36 years. Bob enjoyed working with his hands, mowing yard, flea markets, and collecting scrap. He enjoyed supporting and attending his grandchildren's sporting events and extracurricular activities. Surviving are his wife Emily Clingan of Hudson; two sons, Jeff (Anita) Clingan of Salem Center and Douglas (Stacy) Clingan of Angola; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally (Bill) Lepley of Grabill; and two brothers, Ronald (Linda) Clingan of Hudson and Bill (Diane) Clingan of Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Greg Clingan; and a brother, Perry Clingan. Wanda Faye Clouse, 64, of Kendallville died Monday, October 2, 2017, at 6:05 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born April 7, 1953, in War, West Virginia, to Mitchell and Ola (Click) Stanley. On August 19, 1972, in Kendallville she married David L. Clouse. She moved to this area in 1960 from West Virginia. She was a homemaker. Wanda enjoyed going to garage sales, the bargain shop, and decorating her home for the holidays. She loved her lawn and doing yard work. Posting daily inspirational quotes on Facebook was her passion. Donald Herman Cords

Donald Herman Cords, 83, of Wolcottville died Sunday, August 27, 2017, in Miller's Merry Manor, LaGrange. He was born January 25, 1934, in Francesville to Herman Frederich and Florence Esther Cords. On November 23, 1955, in Winamac he married Eunice Marlene Ketchum. Mr. Cords served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War. During this time, he was part of the group that witnessed the atomic bomb test in Death Valley, Nevada, on May 5, 1955. He retired after 41 years as a telephone technician having worked for CenturyLink formerly known as Embarq, Sprint, and United Telephone. In 1960, he was transferred to the LaGrange office where he retired from. Don enjoyed reading and family geneology. He also enjoyed anything to do with electronics and built a weather station and a clock. He was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Eunice Cords of Wolcottville; two daughters, Chrisanne E. Watt of Aurora, Colorado and Michele L. Hagood of Katy, Texas; two sons, Steven F. Cords of Anchorage, Alaska and Michael A. Cords of Howe; three grandchildren, Quinn Hagood, Victoria Hagood, and Ian Watt; and a brother, Alvin L. Cords of Monala, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Geneva Smith and Esther Webb; and a brother, Herbert Cords. Franklin C. "Pete" Crosby

Franklin C. "Pete" Crosby, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Hamilton Place Assisted Living in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 8, 1933 in Adams County, Indiana, the son of the late Fredrick V. Crosby and the late Amelia A. (Fuelling) Crosby. He married Carol R. Schoenemann on May 25, 1957 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Waynedale. Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the 3rd Armored Division, being honorably discharged as a Private First Class. After graduating from Monmouth High School in 1951, he studied carpentry. He would follow his studies to work with Irmsher Contruction for nine years prior to becoming construction superintendent with Robert W. Crosby and Son Construction, where he worked for 33 years before retiring in 1997. Frank was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Decatur Road in Fort Wayne. He was also a member of the Waynedale Lions Club, Carpenters Union Local #232, American Legion Post #296 in Fort Wayne, the Korean War Veterans Chapter 1 in Fort Wayne, as well as the Disabled American Veterans, and Forty and Eight. Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He also loved his Purdue Boilermakers and in his later years, became accepting of the IU Hoosiers as his only grandson is a proud graduate! He enjoyed gardening, volunteering at church and the Lions Club, and always had a joke or something to make people laugh. A strong work ethic was important to Frank, he was never tardy for events and was very reliable. He is survived by his wife, Carol R. Crosby of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kari A. (Karl) Berron of Indianapolis; son, Steven (Dawn) Crosby of Fort Wayne; sister, Mary Thieme of Decatur; brother, Charles Crosby of Decatur; brother, James (Ann) Crosby of Ossian; sister, Dorothy Smith of Fort Wayne; and a grandson, Sam L. Berron of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Elvira Crosby and Ruth Crosby; and three brothers-in-law, Gilbert Thieme; Glen Smith; and Bill Kenney. Patrick Deming, 72, of Hudson died Tuesday, August 29, 2017, in his residence. He was born March 7, 1945, in Angola to George Andrew and Margaret Della (Rose) Deming. They preceded him in death. Mr. Deming honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He was a gunsmith at the Angler's in Helmer and retired as a chef from Gangster's Grill in Hudson. Surviving are five daughters, Tracy Deming of Angola, Melissa Biemler of Norwalk, Ohio, Kristie Clabaugh of Columbus, Ohio, Ankh Pearson of Ashley, and Erin Alyse Deming of Hudson; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jane Mason of Auburn and Janet Al-Janabi of Fort Wayne. Mary Kay (Nill) Doepker

Mary Kay Doepker, 73, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Mary Kay was a member of the first graduating class of Bishop Luers High School. She worked as a teacher in Fort Wayne for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Mary Kay taught at St. Joseph Hessen Castle, St. Vincent DePaul, Bishop Dwenger High School, and Queen of Angels Catholic School. She was an avid scrap booker, loved decorating, Christmas, and wrapping presents. She enjoyed attending the grandkids sporting events and she was, all around, very artistic. Mary Kay enjoyed spending summers at Lake Wawasee and vacationing anywhere with her family. Lynne Doctor, 70, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. Born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, Lynne was the daughter of the late Floyd and Josie Hardy. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, having donated many of her items to various outreach programs. Joan M. Early, 85, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was born in Indianapolis, IN, on March 5, 1932. The daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Megel. Joan worked as a secretary for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis and owned her own business, Joan's Hallmark Card and Gift Center on East State Boulevard in Fort Wayne, IN, for a number of years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing golf, poker, bridge, bingo, and going to casinos with her family. Edward A. Erwin

Edward A. Erwin, 67, of Angola died Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 5:50 p.m. in Lakeland Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Angola after a two year battle with cancer. He was born October 14, 1949, in Angola to Wilbur A. and Norma (Brabant) Erwin. Mr. Erwin was the Parts Manager at Angola Ford for many years before taking a position with the Steuben County Highway Department. He retired in 2015. He was a dedicated member of the Land of Lakes Lions Club for 29 years. He has acted as their Secretary for the last 25 years receiving W.P. Woods and Melvin Jones Awards. He also enjoyed attending steam engine shows in recent years and racing in his youth. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Clinton Knauer of Angola; two granddaughters, Eleanore Knauer and Rosalyn Knauer; three brothers, Robert Erwin at Glen Burnie, Maryland, Jeffrey (Sharon) Erwin of Pleasant Lake, and Henry Erwin of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Yeskis; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Erwin. Marilyn Kay Evans

Marilyn Kay Evans, 77, passed away at St. Anne's Home on Sunday, October 1, 2017. She was born in Burbank, California, on September 22, 1940. Marilyn graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel Academy in Dallas, Texas, in 1958. She worked for a year at the Burroughs Corporation in Dallas before moving to Fort Wayne with her family. She worked at Manavox/Raytheon in Accounts Payable from 1960 until her retirement in 2006. Marilyn enjoyed her work where she made many friends. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She also enjoyed music and theater and in younger years loved to dance. Most of all, she loved spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Irene Evans. Surviving are her sisters, Carole (Dave) Venderley and Mary (Dave) Scudder; nephews, Bob (Jodi) Venderley and Mark (Chris) Scudder; great nephew, Jordan Venderley; and great nieces, Rachel Venderley, Irene Scudder, Marie Scudder, Lucy Scudder, and Phoebe Scudder. Monica L. Fair, 62, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Monica was the daughter of Dorrell Millican who survives and the late Katie Millican. Monica was a surgical and lab tech with Parkview Hospital for 31 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Monica simply put was a lover of life. She enjoyed cross stitch, horseback riding, creating cards for special occasions, and spending time with her family and friends. Mark S. Farren

Mark S. Farren, 60, of Avilla died unexpectedly Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 11:46 p.m. in his residence. He was born December 5, 1956, in Fort Wayne to Michael and Marjorie (Knappenberger) Farren. His father preceded him in death. On July 17, 2017, in Yaak, Montana, he married his high school sweetheart, Elaine M. (Rosswurm) Kokosa. Mr. Farren honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979. Upon returning from the Marine Corps, he was the Deputy Marshall for Rome City and later retired from the Kendallville Police Department. He started working at Impact Institute in Kendallville and took a year off to work for DynCorp International in Afghanistan. Currently, he was the criminal justice instructor at Impact Institute in Kendallville. Mark enjoyed riding his Harley, and, it was because of his love of bike trips that he and his wife bought a home in Yaak, Montana, where he spent his time this summer. He also enjoyed camping. Mark was known for making the best chili and salsa ever made. And, he loved to share those foods with his class at Impact Institute. Surviving are his wife, Elaine Farren of Avilla; two daughters, Andrea Farren of Kendallville and Michelle (Brian) Wiese of Seattle, Washington; two sons, Thomas Farren of Kendallville and Bryce (Gates) Clevenger of West Lafayette; his mother, Marjorie Taylor of Kendallville; three sisters, Cynthia (Ken) Angel of Churubusco, Sandy (Steve) Miller of Churubusco, and Sara Taylor of Kendallville; a brother, Don M. Taylor of Churubusco; and his dog, Barrett. Funeral services will be Friday, August 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Dan Cosentino of Legacy Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City. Catherine (Raypole) Fleetwood

Catherine Fleetwood, 91, of Churubusco, passed away at 5:35 a.m. on August 17, 2017 at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne. She was born on July 23, 1926 in rural Churubusco. She was the only daughter of Clarence and Mable (Hibbs) Raypole. She spent her formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1944. Catherine married Gerald Fleetwood in Churubusco on October 24, 1944. She worked as a grinder at GE during World War II, then stayed home to raise their two children. She attended Good News Baptist Church, 4-H, sewing club and was involved in the PTA. She will be remembered as an excellent cook and her love of flowers and her grandchildren. Catherine is survived by her husband of 72 years, Gerald Fleetwood of Churubusco; her daughter, Marcy Fleetwood of Fort Wayne; her son, Steven (Cheryl) Fleetwood of Churubusco; six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leonard Raypole and Ernest Raypole. Thomas Gernell Franks, Sr.

Thomas Gernell Franks, Sr., 83, went home to his Lord, September 20, 2017. Tom was born November 3, 1933, in Huntington, to the late Claude and Alta (Farmer) Franks. He retired after 33 years of service with Falstaff and was a member of the County Line Church of God. Along with the late Eunice, Tom donated time to the Lydia''s House in Wauchula, Florida. Surviving are his three children, Tom Franks, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Tina Valdez Celina, Ohio and Yavonne (Mark) East of Albion; five grandchildren, SPC Michael, Michaela, Amanda, Cassandra, SGT Shawn, 8 great-grandchildren, Blake, Kaden, Sarah, Jacob, Brayden, Stetson, Emma and Joshua; brother, Derry Sharp of Louisiana; and sister, Shirley Schug of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Eunice Franks, on July 31, 2012; brothers, Keith "Buzzy" Sharp, Dean Sharp and Claude Franks, Jr.; and a sister, Lois Teagarden. Harold Frasure

Harold Frasure, 97, passed away on September 1, 2017. He was born on November 27, 1919 and grew up in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of the late Nelson Frasure and Rosa Frasure Enders. Harold attended the Ohio State University obtaining 2 bachelor's degrees before serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII for 16 years. Harold worked in Chemical Sales for BF Goodrich Chemical Company until his retirement in 1975. He enjoyed farming and gardening and investing in the stock market. Surviving are his daughters, Nancy Lewis, and Betsy (Jim) Dwight; grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Wilkins, Jonathan (Erin) Dwight, Nikki (Craig) Gilles, Dustin Lewis; 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Catherine Frasure in 2002. A memorial service will be held on September 15, 2017 at the Towne House Chapel. Stanley Freet

Stanley Freet, 97, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Grovertown, IN, Stanley worked as an instrument polisher and inspector with G.C. Conns Instrument Manufacturing Company and with 2 other instrument companies in Elkhart, IN. He joined the Army July 1, 1942 and served along with General Patton during WWII at one time in one of the 5 countries he fought in. Stanley was a horseshoe pitching champion, pitched in several baseball leagues, and bowled on men and couples bowling leagues. He was also an avid bingo player. Stanley and his wife traveled all of the United States, parts of Canada, and Mexico. They attended his army reunion for many years each summer. After retirement, Stanley lived at North Webster Lake and he and his wife would winter in Ft. Myers Florida. He enjoyed living on the lake, riding their pontoon, fishing and ice fishing, and having large fish fry get-togethers. After the death of his wife, Stanley moved to Fort Wayne to be close to his family. From 2010 to present, Stanley put together puzzles. He later started selling them for donations to give to The Honor Flight. He earned enough money to send a WWII veteran free of charge. Surviving are his brother, Marshall Freet of Mishawaka, IN; niece, Ginny Bilby of Fort Wayne; great niece, Gina (Dave Days) Dumas of Fort Wayne; great-nephews, Doug (Jonele) Bilby of Fort Wayne, and David (Becky) Teter of FL; great-great-nieces, Lydia (Dan) Sparling, of Fort Wayne; Morgan Callahan, of Fort Wayne; Erin Callahan, of Fort Wayne; and Crystal Campbell of FL; great-great-nephews, Justin (Kirsten Studebaker) Bilby of Fort Wayne; Riley Bilby, of Fort Wayne; Raymond Campbell and D.J. Bertha Ellen Fromm, 96, passed Friday, September 8, 2017. Born July 4, 1921, in Steuben County. Bertha leaves behind four loving children, Richard Morris "Morry" (the late, Sharon, 2015) Fromm of Fort Wayne, Beverly Joan (companion, Charles Pearson) Craig of Auburn, Gene Allen (Dru) Fromm of Shoals, Indiana and Rowena "Rena" Kay (Tim) Scheibenberger of Fort Wayne; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 30 great great grandchildren. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Richard Morris Fromm, 1920-1988; their son, Byron Eugene Fromm 1946 - 2004; and two grandchildren, Shawn Patrick Craig, 1965-2015 and Richard LeRoy Heintzelman, 1965-2017. Torchia A. (Byrd) Fry

Torchia A. Fry, age 76, of Churubusco, passed away on September 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on August 6, 1941 in Kokomo. She was a daughter of Wayne and Naomi (Phillips) Byrd. She spent her formative years in Churubusco and attended Churubusco High School. She retired from C & A Tools in Churubusco. Torchia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with friends at Blue River Apartments. Torchia is survived by two daughters, Kim Fry of Epping, NH and Tina (Tim) Herendeen of Churubusco; a son, DG Fry of Churubusco; her identical twin sister, Georgia (James) Schenher of LaOtto; a brother Bradley Byrd of Columbia City; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Loretta (Kater) Gayer

Loretta K. Gayer, 80, entered the arms of her Loving Savior on Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Fort Wayne, IN, in the presence of her loving daughter in a peaceful, quiet ending to a life full of generosity of love, and caring compassion for others. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, musician, artist, committed volunteer, incredible hostess and humorist, she lived her life in service to Christ, saw the beauty in everything and all people, and found joy in bringing friends and strangers a smile or a song, leaving behind this life to be in Heaven with her husband Donald K. Gayer of 54 years who passed away less than four months prior. The eldest daughter of German immigrants, she was born in 1936 in Chicago IL, to Anne (Schweinsberg) Kater, and Herman Kater. Growing up in Chicago, IL, she attended Zoar Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Steinmetz High School. Her career as a secretary and office manager began as a young woman at First National Bank in Chicago, IL, and she retired from ITT Fort Wayne, IN in 1998. Her passions throughout her life included her family, her church, playing piano, choir, volunteering at Parkview Hospital, counseling young women in crisis, and she was very active in assisting in refugee resettlement and support. Her greatest joy was spending time with her two grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter Tracy Gayer of Fort Wayne, IN, her sons, Theodore (Theresa) Gayer of Vancouver, WA; Thomas (Jacque) Gayer of Sandy, UT; sister JoAnne (Siegfried) Siedler of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Lauren Gayer and Luke Gayer (Sandy, UT). Larry W. Gerardot

Larry W. Gerardot, 75, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Signature HealthCARE in Fort Wayne. He was born on Thursday, November 6, 1941 in Monroeville, Indiana the son of the late Lawrence Gerardot and Eva I. (Knefelkamp) Gerardot. He married Evon A. Foreman on November 25, 1967 in St. John's Catholic Church in New Haven. Larry retired from the Allen County Highway Department with ten years of service. He had also previously been employed at Buchan Logging and Fruehauf Trailers of Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Michigan Boat Association and Michigan Dynameter Association. Larry owned draft horses and enjoyed many years of horse pulls. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them at their ballgames. He also loved to weld. Survivors include his wife, Evon A. Gerardot of Monroeville; daughter, Tammy M. (Troy) Beckley of Auburn; daughter, Sarah (Walter Brady) Gerardot of Huntingtown, MD; son, Joe W. (Jenny) Gerardot of Monroeville; mother, Eva Gerardot of Monroeville; sister-in-law, Nancy Gerardot of Monroeville; four grandchildren, Hailey Gerardot; Levi Gerardot; Skylar Gerardot; & Cash Gerardot; and four step-grandchildren, Taylor Beckley; Travis Beckley; Hollie Beckley; and Chase Bennett. Jack G. Gilbert

Jack G. Gilbert, 79, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on August 8, 1938 in Allen County, Indiana the son of the late Roy H. Gilbert and the late Helen B. (Shie) Gilbert - Small. He married Phyllis Castleman on November 29, 1958 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and she survives after 59 years of marriage! He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and the Horseman's Benevolent Protective Association (HBPA). Jack retired in 1988 after 27 years of service at B.F. Goodrich in Woodburn where he was a foreman. He also trained and raced Thoroughbred horses throughout his life. He loved basketball of any kind, but especially loved IU basketball. In addition, he loved the Oregon Ducks College Football Team. Despite his love of horses and sports, Jack was the most passionate about his family and their activities. Marium R. (Dawson) Goelz

Marium R. Goelz, 89, of Monroeville, IN passed away during the evening hours on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Adams Heritage in Decatur. She was born on Monday, July 23, 1928 the daughter of the late George W. Dawson and the late Sylvia A. (Ellis) Dawson. She married Robert H. Goelz on June 18, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2002. She became a homemaker, after graduating from Monroeville High School in 1947. Marium was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Monroeville, and was a former council member of the church. She was also a member of the Von Bara Society; American Legion Auxillary Post #420; and the Marine Auxillary, Miami District. Survivors include her son, David L. Goelz of Monroeville, IN; son, Ronald L. (Judy) Goelz of Indianapolis, IN; son, James R. (Wendy) Goelz of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Donald E. (Cindy) Goelz of Rockford, IL; sister, Carol J. Dawson of Monroeville, IN; daughter-in-law, Karen Goelz of Evansville, IN; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Ramona Linda (Hernandez) Gramajo

Ramona Linda Hernandez, 58, of Scottsdale, Arizona, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on January 24, 1959. Mona graduated from North Side High School in 1977. She was married to Jose Gramajo on December 3, 2010. Mona lived her dream on the Rio Verde Ranch. Rising with the sun each morning, she took joy in caring for and riding her horses Cash and Summer. She loved being outdoors, traveling and gathering with family and friends to play games. Our time with Mona was a gift. She was the life of the party wherever she went. She had a talent for making everything more fun, and we were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from her: every day is an adventure, the best things in life are free, and the more, the merrier. Most importantly, she was strong and independent and had the courage to pursue her dreams and encouraged everyone to do the same. Mona is survived by her husband, Jose Gramajo; three children: Dominic Hunley, Sofia (Sean) Hargrow and Danielle Hunley; stepson: Emilio Gramajo; five grandchildren: Monique, Sofia, Lilyana, Saige and Seana; siblings: Carmen (Rudy) Lewis, Victoria Hernandez, Delia Falk and Steven Hernandez; and sister-in-law Barb Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anselmo and Mary Hernandez, and brother, John Hernandez. Dwight G. Grate

Dwight G. Grate, 78, of Avilla died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 12:30 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born June 21, 1939, in Auburn to George and Edith (Thomson) Grate. On February 14, 1959, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Avilla, he married Beverly J. Lobdell. She survives in Avilla. He was a self-employed contractor having previously worked for Strawser Brothers Construction in Kendallville. Also surviving are two sons, Brent Lynn Grate of Avilla and Jay L. (Sherry) Grate of Westfield; five grandchildren, J. Bernadine (Pressler) Guebard

Bernadine "Beanie" Guebard, 94, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at Coventry Meadows LLC in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Beanie worked as a secretary with The City of Fort Wayne for 34 years. She was a member of South Wayne United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Covington Manor for 25 years. Beanie enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Surviving are her sons, Bruce (Deborah) Guebard of Fort Wayne and Jerry (Donna Kay) Guebard of Schertz, TX; grandchildren, Robert(Sandra) Guebard, Brandon(Kimberly) Guebard, Amy(Shawn) Scott, and Matthew(Selena) Guebard; and great-grandchildren, Jerry Guebard II, Tabatha Guebard, Cameron Guebard, Kelcy Guebard, Eloise Scott, and Calvin Scott. James Hall

James "Jim" Hall, 85, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Evansport, OH, Jim worked as a design engineer with Dana for 28 years, retiring in 1991. He was a long time member of St. Therese Catholic Church and presently a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Having been born on April 1, Jim had a great sense of humor and was a jokester. He was great at telling limericks and loved teasing. Jim enjoyed running, exercising and working in the yard. He also liked to cook breakfast and grill. Jim was an avid card player and loved playing euchre and cribbage. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mildred "Toots" Hall of Fort Wayne, sons, Bruce (Debra) Hall and Tom (Debra) Hall both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Kim (Frank) McMaster and Nancy Harker of both Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Madison, Tommy, Matthew, Katie, Mitchell, Mickey, Ryan, Molly, Logan, Cody, and Haley; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rose Marie (Kenny) Fisher of Malinta, OH. Reagan Emerson Harmeyer, infant child of Ryan and Susan (Kurtz) Harmeyer, passed away on August 19, 2017. Pauline E. Hatfield, 91, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late father, Lawrence H. Cochran, and mother, Florence M. Hobbs. Pauline graduated from Central HS in 1944. She worked as a baker at Concordia Seminary for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and volunteered at Parkview Hospital for 18 years. Her hobbies included landscape painting, cake decoration and crocheting, but her passion was her family. Surviving are her children Robert W. Hatfield of Fort Wayne, IN; Sharon K. John R. "Jack" Hile, 88, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, John worked with Indiana Michigan Power for 41 years, and most recently he worked with D.O. Irvin C. Hoffman

Irvin C. Hoffman, 94, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Adams Heritage in Monroeville. He was born on Sunday, February 4, 1923 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Victor Hoffman and the late Pauline (Bieberich) Hoffman. He married Carolyn Fredrick on August 23, 1947 at Marquardt Lutheran Church. Irvin served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He retired from Woodburn Diamond Die and had previously worked at Hoosier Wire Die and Ajax Wire Die. He was also a lifelong Madison Township farmer. Irvin was a member of Marquardt Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. He was a member of American Legion Post #43 of Decatur and served on the Advisory Board for the Village of Heritage. He was also a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau in Allen County. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hoffman of Monroeville; daughter, Jan (John) Jarrett of Monroeville; son, Leslie (Pamela) Hoffman of South Whitley; daughter, Nancy (Rick) Gilbert of Monroeville; and daughter, Deanna (Tim) Rorick of New Haven. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Beth) Jarrett; Renee Jarrett; David (Angie) Jarrett; Holly (Andy) Swogger; Joshua (Lauren) Hoffman; Amy (Kyle) Koch; Tammy (Jeff) Harding; Bob (Allie) Gilbert; Claire Rorick; Olivia Rorick; and Bethany Rorick; and 15 great-grandchildren, Brayden Jarrett; Brianna Jarrett; Ella Jarrett; Lilly Jarrett; Madisyn Redman; Landon Swogger; Lydia Swogger; Montgomery Hoffman; Morrison Hoffman; Morgan Gomez; Taylor Koch; Blair Harding; A.J. Helen Mae (Krouse) Hollman

Helen Mae (Krouse) Hollman, 93, passed Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Anne Home. Born June 15, 1924, in Kalida, Ohio, she was a daughter to the late, C.D. and Chloe (Clevenger) Krouse. In 1942 Helen moved to Fort Wayne; she married the late, Earl "Bud" Hollman in 1946. They were married for over 40 years when he passed in 1987. She was a devoted wife and wonderful caretaker to her family and to all who were around her. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son, James Hollman of Denver, Colorado; daughter in law, Rebecca Hollman of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Lisa Hollman; and a great granddaughter, Sophia. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry, in 1980; and brother, Robert Krouse, in 2004. Memorial Service is 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling 30 min prior. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Rev. Elvin E. Jones

REV. ELVIN E. JONES, 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Signature Health care of Fort Wayne. Born May 10, 1926 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Earl and Friea (Whitehurst) Jones. Attending Fort Wayne Bible College, Elvin was a Pastor and Evangelist. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Angola. He married Mary A. McAfee on Feb. 24, 1995, in Fort Wayne, and she passed away July 10, 2012. Surviving are three children, Jerry (Becky) Jones of Fort Wayne, Ginger (Andy) Keever of Fort Wayne, and Gary (Sherri) Jones of Churubusco; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Wallace Jones. Carolyn worked as a beautician for 50 years and was the owner and operator of Carolyn's Beauty Corner in Rockford, OH and most recently she worked for Fantasy Beauty Salon in Fort Wayne. Carolyn had a love for animals, and enjoyed going to the casino. Rose Marie Kallmyer passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 after a brief illness. Rose was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1951. Rose married Ray Kallmyer in 1958. She was a talented pianist and church organist. Rose also worked as a seamstress and helped with her husband's real estate business. Rose attended Pathway Community Church. Surviving are her children, Brad (Penny) Kallmyer, Todd Kallmyer, and Kris (Silvia) Kallmeyer; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Emilia and Julia; brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Vorndran, Gerald Vorndran, Paul (Shirley) Vorndran; and sister, Anita Paul. Evangeli (Panou) Kaplanis

Evangeli Kaplanis, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on September 6, 2017. Born on September 8, 1936, in Itea, Greece, and immigrated to Fort Wayne in 1966 with her family, she was a daughter of the late Triandafilos and Flora Panou. She was a homemaker and housewife who loved to cook both Greek and traditional cuisine. She was the mother of three children and nine grandchildren and lived her life to take care of her family. She was happiest when family would gather at her home for holidays and special occasions that would allow her to indulge in making large varieties of food and desserts. She was particularly known for her unique versions of "pita" a traditional Greek pan dish. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Pandelis Kaplanis; children, Kostas (Lorena) Kaplanis, George (Eleni) Kaplanis, and Christina (Sean) Turner; grandchildren, Gregory, Dimitri, Pandelis, Triandaphillos, Evangelia, Agapi, Katerina, Emersen, Ashlyn and Tyler, who all brought great joy to her in later years; and brother, Stephanos (Europia) Panou, and their family who live in Greece. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Venna; and grandson, Dimitri. Joseph E. King

Joseph E. King, 96, of Kendallville died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville with his family at his side. He was born March 22, 1921, in Roff, Oklahoma, to Jesse and Sarah (Beaty) King. On August 3, 1940, in Atoka, Oklahoma, he married Cleo Tomlin. She survives in Kendallville. They were honored to celebrate their 77th wedding anniversary recently. Mr. King honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne. He then worked for Renner's Express in Fort Wayne. Also surviving are a daughter, Sara "Judy" Evers of Kendallville; a son, Donald H. (Diann Binkley) King of Knox; three grandchildren, Stephen (Denice) Evers, Angie King-Underwood, and Mindy (Kreig) Woods; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Glasglow of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Patricia (Meiners) Knight

Patricia (Meiners) Knight, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, after a long and courageous struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Pat was a 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School, where she excelled in English and won a national poetry award. Other schools Pat attended were Our Lady of Lourdes, Indianapolis, and St. Joseph's Academy in Tipton. She was married 56 years to the love of her life, Frank, until his death in 2004. Pat and Frank raised 6 children in St. Vincent de Paul parish. She worked with Frank in his Landscape Contracting business and was an activist in many causes important to her. Survivors include her children, Linda (Neal) McEwen of Prescott, AZ, David F. (Kate) Knight of Spring Lake, MI, Kathleen (Steve) Weller of Bloomington, IN, Mary Ann (Robert) Williams of Greenwood, IN, Kevin (Lisa) Knight of Louisville, KY, Joann (Tom) Barnhill of Indianapolis, IN, sister-in-law Florence Isaacs of Ft. Wayne, brother-in-law Richard Knight of Stow, Ohio, and 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. In addition to her beloved Frank, Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen (Bonfield) Meiners & William H. Stephen Edward Alexander Leamon, 25, of Cleveland, Ohio, and formerly of South Milford died unexpectedly Thursday, August 17, 2017, in his residence. He was born December 20, 1991, in Kendallville to Patrik Edward and Cheryl V. (Deming) Leamon. He was a student. Stephen loved being with his son. He also enjoyed playing video games and hip-hop music. Surviving are a son, Zaiden Leamon of Wolcottville; his mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Lenny Clouse of Wolcottville; his father and stepmother, Patrik and Bernadette Leamon of Cleveland; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Stefanie Lewis of Churubusco. Mark Allen Linville

Mark Allen Linville, 58, of Fort Wayne slipped into the arms of Jesus Sunday, October 15, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital. Mark was born May 10, 1959 in Indianapolis to the late Horace F. Linville and Imogene (Wood) Linville. He graduated from Carmel High School in 1977 where he was a very good athlete. He earned his bachelors degree in fine arts from Ball State University in 1982. On August 4, 1984, he married Diane (Sorlie) Linville in Fort Wayne. Mark has been employed at Lincoln Printing for the past 29 years. He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Church where he had a strong passion to help the youth and share his love for Christ. Mark also loved coaching, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered for his caring hugs and a kiss on the head. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Diane; daughters, Angela (Scott) Sherbahn, Alyssa (Josh Schrock) Linville; grandchildren, Lucas, Lyla, and Lily Sherbahn all of Fort Wayne; brother, Jerry (Patty) Linville of Naples, FL; mother-in-law, Bobbie Sorlie of Fort Wayne; and step-mother, Jeanne Linville of Naples, FL. Audra A. (Baeske) Maywhoor, 94, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was born in Trimountain, MI, on April 22, 1923, the daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle Baeske. Audra worked with Lincoln National Life for 34 years, retiring 1983. Surviving are her brother, Melvyn D. (Patricia) Baeske of Fairview Heights, IL; sisters-in-law, Gloria Baeske of Woodburn, IN, and Clarice Baeske of Fort Wayne, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Catherine "Ruth" McBride, 94, of Tipton, died at 4:00 am on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at North Woods Village, Mishawaka, where she had lived since June 14, 2017. She was born on February 13, 1923, in Cambridge, OH, to Wilbur and Lela (Gibson) Proctor. On July 27, 1947 in Cambridge, she married Stewart Lee McBride. He died April 8, 2005. Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Lee (Larry) Wolfe of Tipton, Susan (Sam) Pohl of Middlebury; son, Dr. Jeffrey S. (Natalie McFeely) McBride of Elkhart; Six grandchildren, Scott A. Wolfe, Don E. Wolfe, Christopher A. Pohl, Brittany L. (Pohl) Calvert, Lyndsay N. (McBride) Hemmick, Logan J. McBride; six great-grandchildren, Noah Wolfe, Parker Wolfe, Ella Wolfe, Hallie Wolfe, Lincoln Hemmick, Henry Calvert. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Louise Colvin. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairborn, OH. She was active in her church and was part of the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed knitting, collecting cardinals and was a talented seamstress. She loved family gatherings where she often did the cooking. A memorial service will be held in Ohio at a later date. Denzil R. McDonald, 68, of Kendallville died Friday, September 29, 2017, at 7:45 a.m. in Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born August 14, 1949, in Martin, Kentucky, to Orville K. and Evalyn (Blankenship) McDonald. Mr. McDonald moved to this area in 1966, coming from Kentucky. He retired from Essex Wire in Kendallville. Denzil enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting Hotwheels vehicles. Surviving are two daughters, Star (Jeff) Vanderbilt of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Shannon (Dale) Alleshouse of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandsons, Alexandir Alleshouse, Sidney Alleshouse, Jordan Goff, and Ben Goff; three great-grandchildren, Alexandir Alleshouse, Sterling Jack Alleshouse, and Aaron Goff; his mother, Evelyn McDonald of Kendallville; two sisters, Linda (Rodney) Hurst of Kendallville and Reba (Rex) Bardsley of Kendallville; and two brothers, Kenneth (Diane) McDonald of Kendallville and Eddie (Barb) McDonald of Kendallville. Betty Marie (Hughes) McKinney

Betty Marie McKinney nee Hughes, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Born in Stroh, IN, on July 4, 1935 to Bill and Frankie Hughes, Betty was always a "firecracker". She met the love of her life at the age of 14, "Billy", while working at Millers Ice Cream. They were married April 22, 1955. Betty enjoyed genealogy and her doll collection, but what she loved most was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When it came to them, "Mackie" would do anything. Everyone will miss her Sunday dinners and hugs and kisses, not only in person but also included on every card. Surviving are her husband, T. William "Bill" McKinney of Fort Wayne; 3 children, Douglas (Carolyn) McKinney of Fort Wayne, Daniel McKinney of Columbia City, and Dawn (Greg) Newport of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren, Karen, Casey, and Cody; and 6 great-grandchildren. Richard H. Merren Jr.

Richard H. "Dick" Merren Jr., passed away September 25, 2017. Born in La Ceiba, Honduras, Central America on 29 July 1930 to Richard H. Merren Sr and Marina Saravia Merren. Richard graduated from Sam Miguel High School in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras. After graduating he came to Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 1948 and attended Indiana Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955 and once honorably discharged he returned to work at G.E. , He received his United States citizenship in 1956. 7 years later, he went to work at International Harvester, from where he retired after 28 ½ years of service with the closing of the plant on November 1986. Richard was a proud member of the UAW union during his employment with International Harvester and to the present. As member of UAW Retiree Chapter 57 representing the retirees of International Harvester. Throughout Richard's tenure with International Harvester and thereafter, in his retirement held many positions in UAW Local 57 from steward to acting President. On retirement, he was elected as Chair of his Retiree Chapter, Chair of the UAW 4th Area Retiree Council, Chair of Region 3 Indiana - Kentucky Retirees Council. He served as Chair of the UAW Community Action Programs for Adams, Allen, and Wells County from March 1976 to April 2015. Richard was also Chair of the Indiana 3rd District C.A.P. Council, served on the Executive Board of Region 3 UAW C.A.P. Council and Auto Council. A loyal Democrat serving the Allen County Democratic Party as a precinct committee person, County Treasurer, and representative of labor. Richard was elected as a State Convention delegate from 1970 to present and National Convention Delegate six times. Served as a labor liaison for Congresswoman Jill Long and on committees for Mayors Graham Richard and Tom Henry. Served on many executives boards of local agencies, such as United Way of Allen County, Red Cross, Washington House Treatment Center, Catholic Social Services, Indiana Alliance of Retired Americans, United Senior Action of Indiana, Holiday Cab Program to name a few. Richard received many awards, such as the National Red Cross Award for Labor Leadership, United Hispanic Volunteer of the Year, The Mark J. Lawrence Award, The Mack T.Lawrence Award the J. Edward Rousch Life Time Service Award. The Douglas A. Fraser Community Service Award, Region 3 UAW Director's Award, Allen County Democrat of the Year Award, Kentucky Colonel awarded by Kentucky Governor, Steven L. Beshear and Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes, and many more. He was a member of The American Legion, Order of the Eagles, NAACP, A. Philip Randolph Institute, and Indiana Alliance for Retired Americans A.P.R.I, and I.A.R.A. Richard loved to dance and fish, but his favorite was meeting people. He had a passion for making new acquaintances into friends. He just loved people regardless of their walk of life. Richard often remarked that as we plant flowers, to enjoy their beauty. People are God's flowers with all the beauty created by God for us to cherish, love, and respect, for as long as He granted us life. Surviving: son, Antonio Merren of Honduras; sister, Kathryn Merren Wolff of Seabrook, Texas; brothers, Bobby, John, and Jarrod Merren in Honduras; as Richard would say, My adopted kids Leroy and Naomi Brown, and his great extended family- All of the UAW active and retired workers of this great USA. Betty Jean Miller, 92, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Parkview Hospital Randallia. She was a life long resident of Ft. Wayne. Betty worked for the Allen County Assessor's office. Dennis L. Miller, 71, of Bristol, died at 2:05 pm, on Monday, August 21, at the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart. He was born on January 6, 1946, in LaGrange County, to Levi E. and Ida (Gingerich) Miller. Survivors include a sister, Ann (Harley) Yoder of Goshen; two brothers, Willie (Marilyn) Miller of Goshen, Pete (Karen) Miller of Hillsboro, OR; sister-in-law, Mattie Miller of Steuben County; two nieces, five nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and the ADEC staff and residents. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Elmer Miller. He lived at ADEC for 21 years. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday August 24, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Gertrude C. (Reffelt) Miller

Gertrude C. Miller, 108, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne. She was born on Monday, August 9, 1909 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles Reffelt and the late Mary (Hecke) Reffelt. She married Arthur J. Miller and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1978. In her younger years, Gertrude worked at Wayne Candy Company in Fort Wayne. After moving to Decatur, she began working for Central Sugar Company before transitioning to Wayne Novelty. Most recently, Gertrude served her community by working at Psi Iota Xi Sorority Thrift Store in Decatur for several years as a manager. Gertrude was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, as well as Rosary Society. Gertrude had been a member of Women of the Moose since 1961. She also sang with the Sweet Adeline's. Survivors include her grandson, Matt (Sue) Berghoff of Midland, MI; grandson, Mark (Mona) Berghoff of Fort Wayne, IN; grandson, Mike (Mary) Berghoff of Fort Wayne, IN; granddaughter, Ann Reisinger of Westfield, IN; grandson, Pat (Cathy) Berghoff of Noblesville, IN; 14 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Gertrude was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Ellen Berghoff, in 1993; and a son-in-law Robert Berghoff, in 2017. On June 27, 1985 in Middlebury he married Cora Sue Yoder, she survives. Lester D. Miller, 83, of Middlebury, died at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 12 at his residence. He was born on June 25, 1934 in Marshall County, to David J. and Barbara (Hochstetler) Miller. On March 7, 1954 in Goshen he married Mary Esther Lambright; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Patricia (Paul) Miller of Philadelphia, PA, Denise (Gordon) Henke of Middlebury; three sons, Dennis (Vert) Miller of Goshen, Randy (Carlene) Miller of Elkhart, Wes (Sheila) Miller of Middlebury; two sisters, Clara (Lamar) Hershberger of Nappanee, Verba (Lonnie) Slabaugh of Nappanee; two brothers, Slyvanas and Homer (Freida) Miller both of Nappanee; 15 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Leona and Linda Mae Miller; three brothers, Gilbert, Harley, and David Miller, Jr. He was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. He had been a factory worker and helped start the bakery at Essenhaus, where he worked for 17 years. He served two years of voluntary service at Rosedale Bible College, served his 1-W service in Fort Wayne and later worked at Troyer Carpets. Lester loved family, friends and playing Rook. He gave himself fully to everything he did and would serve anywhere he could. His heart for people and for God was well-known. He lived life enthusiastically. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 15 and one hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, August 16 at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, 61115 State Rd. 15 Goshen. Lisa M. Miller, 56, of Middlebury, died at 7:15 pm on Sunday, September 10, at Elkhart Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 15, 1961 in Rensselaer, to James and Wilma (Yoder) Laffoon. On October 30, 2003 in Middlebury, she married Harley Dean Miller, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband is a daughter, Alisha Beard of Elkhart; son, Nicholas (Julie) Yoder of Decatur; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren; two sisters, Cindy (Shane) Patterson of Kentland, Cathy (Gene) Troyer of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Renee Marcott. Lisa had worked for ABT Company in Middlebury, Weldy's Animal Clinic in Wakarusa and as a Toll Road attendant. Richard R. Monn, 88, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Richard worked at Fort Wayne National Bank 45 years serving in many different roles, most recently as a Vice President. He was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Richard was a Delegate to the Lutheran Social Services and the Lutheran Foundation, a Salvation Army Board Member, a chairman of the Salvation Army Kettle Counters, an honorary Director of the Concordia Lutheran High School Educational Foundation, and a 58 year member of the McMillion Park Lion's Club where he served in many different positions. Surviving are his children, Jeffrey Monn of Fort Wayne, Valerie (Emad) Anwar of Grand Prairie, TX, David Monn of Indianapolis, IN, and Julie (Micheal) Smith of Indianapolis, IN; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Donna (Paul) Fritze, Harriet Stennfeld, and Janice Hitzemann all of Fort Wayne, IN; and brother, Larry "Butch" (Debbie) Monn of Fishers, IN. Lisa L. (Riebersal) Moore, 31, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her home in South Bend. Born in Fort Wayne, Lisa worked as a nurse at Elkhart General Hospital and Southfield Village Nursing Home in South Bend. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church - West Jefferson. Lisa loved her husband, family, friends, and puppy. She enjoyed quilting and all things Alice in Wonderland. Lisa loved traveling, including many visits to Disney World and spending the summers at the cottage at Coldwater Lake, MI. Suzanne Michele Moore, 39, of New Haven died unexpectedly Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was born July 22, 1978, in Fort Wayne to Michael G. and Sandra L. (Schmidt) Moore. They survive in Rome City. Miss Moore worked for LSC Communications, formerly Courier, in Kendallville. She was baptized at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. Also surviving is a son, Jacob Lee Moore of Auburn and a brother, Jeffery G. Moore of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joel Michael Moore; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Iris Ilene (Mock) Morr

Iris Ilene Morr, 75, of Kendallville died Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 10:18 p.m. in the home of her daughter, Babs Diehm of Kendallville. She was born August 13, 1942, in Kendallville to Henry O. and Ilene I. (Hart) Mock. Iris was born and raised in the Kendallville area. She attended Kendallville schools through the 8th grade, after which her parents moved to DeKalb County where she finished school and graduated in 1961 from Ashley High School. On March 10, 1962, in Ashley she married Delbert Earl Morr. The love of her life for 43 years preceded her in death on April 25, 2008. Through the years, she lived in several locations in the area, including Kendallville, DeKalb County, Wolcottville, and Rome City. During her life, she held a variety of jobs, including waitressing, car-hop at Kelsey's Drive-In, ticket sales at the Strand and Hi Vue theaters, retail sales at Lord's Dress Shop and J.C. Penney's, production work at Kraft Foods, Group Dekko companies, Tokheim in Albion for 15 years, and No-Sag Products for 15 years where she started as the receptionist and worked her way up to retiring as the purchasing manager. Through the years, if asked about her education, Iris would proudly reply, "I graduated from Ashley High School. I have a degree in common sense from the School of Hard Knocks." In 2010, after retirement and the loss of her husband, she purchased the old GMP Union Hall north of Kendallville. Along with her daughters, she converted it into The Iris Garden Event and Catering Center. Her desire was to provide a nice place where the working people of the area could afford to celebrate their special events. She loved interacting with people through work or social events. If Iris is remembered for anything, she would wish it to be the way she loved her husband, family, and friends, her unique personality and sense of humor, and the way she tried to treat all people with courtesy and respect. Surviving are three daughters, Beth Ann (Bruce) Newman of South Milford, Babs Ann (Michael) Diehm of Kendallville, and Brenda Ann (Larry) Gayheart of Rome City; six grandchildren, Brian Newman, Brooke (Anthony) Randol, Mitchell (Judi Kuffer) Diehm, Cameron Diehm, Morreen (Ricky Powers) Gayheart, and Odessa Gayheart; five great-grandchildren, Bret, Ethan, Newt, Ellie, and Kali; and a brother, William (Sharon) Mock of Kendallville. Larry Mosley

Larry Mosley, 51, of Avilla died Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 9:30 p.m. in his residence. He was born July 4, 1966, in Kendallville to Floyd and Georgene (Spears) Mosley. On December 29, 2009, in Kendallville he married Amy Hullinger. Mr. Mosley had worked at several area foundries, NISCO in Topeka, and Aluminum Recovery Technologies in Kendallville. Larry enjoyed fishing, working on cars, doing puzzles, and collecting miniature antique cars. He loved being with his children and grandbabies. Nancy J. (Parker) Potter

Nancy J. Potter, 85, of Fort Wayne IN passed away on Wednesday, September 27 at Visiting Nurse Hospice and Home. She was born October 4, 1931 in Lafayette, IN of Francis and Bernice (Sayers) Parker. She grew up in West Lafayette, IN. She graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1950 and married Walter Potter in 1952. Nancy worked for Indiana Bank for many years. During retirement Walt and Nancy spent 13 wonderful years in Venice, FL where she was an active member of Venice-Nokomis UMC. She was a friend to all she met. Over the years, she enjoyed golf, bridge and traveling with many friends at Venice Golf and C.C. and Orchard Ridge C.C. In 2011, Walt and Nancy returned to Fort Wayne and took up residence at the Towne House Retirement Community. Nancy is survived by her children: Rev. Dakota Matthew "Kody" Pratt, 19, of Huntington passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born July 15, 1998, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Matthew R. and Nancy R. (Bertoia) Pratt. His parents survive in Huntington. Dakota worked as a tree trimmer for a company in Stroh. He enjoyed fishing and listening to music. Also surviving are a sister, Breanna Pratt of Huntington; two brothers, Roger Dexter of Angola and Kylar Pratt of Angola; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Suzanne Pratt of Grand Rapids, Michigan; maternal step grandmother, Janice Bertoia; three nephews, Landen Dexter, Gannon Tackett, and Theodore Pratt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Phillip C. "Pone" Rice, 33, of LaGrange died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Syracuse. He was born November 18, 1983, in Bluffton to Artie V. and Judith (Murphy) Rice. He was a 2003 graduate of Prairie Heights High School. Mr. Rice was employed by Davey Tree as a tree trimmer. He had also worked in area recreational vehicle factories. He was also a jack of all trades and loved the outdoors. Surviving are four sons, Tevis Rice, Colten Rice, and Cayman Rice all of Butler and Izaak Rice of Jonesville, Virginia; his mother and stepfather, Judith and Eric Clark of LaGrange; his father, Artie V. Jeffrey Allen Richardson, 45, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed fishing and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Samuel Allen Richhart

Samuel Allen Richhart, 8, was carried to heaven on Friday, September 29, 2017 after a 3 year battle with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. Samuel's story will be carried on by his loving parents, Barry and Patricia Richhart; siblings, Elizabeth, Anna, Patrick, Abigail, Rachel, Micah and Rose; grandparents, Robert and Mary Richhart; and Richard and Patricia Perko; uncle and aunt, Mark and Anjanette Richhart; cousins Max, Simon and Henry Richhart. Samuel's life was a blessing to all who knew him. He faced more challenges in his short time on earth than most of us face in a lifetime with great courage and strength of spirit. Daniel Robinson

Daniel Robinson, 81, of Wakarusa, died at 5:00 pm, on Thursday, September 7, at Elkhart General Hospital. He had been in declining health. He was born on August 25, 1936, in Steuben, ME, to Frank and Addella (Savage) Robinson. On December 2, 1957 in Rapid City, SD he married Shirley Alexander; she died May 14, 2017. Surviving are seven daughters; a son; 23 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three grandchildren; a great grandchild; two brothers and a sister. Daniel served in the US Airforce for four years during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing, and did Amish Taxi work. Virginia Rose Scheurich, 93, of Kendallville died Friday, August 11, 2017, at 1:50 p.m. in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Kendallville. She was born May 15, 1924, in Fort Wayne to Arthur and Martha (Klinger) Conrad. On June 5, 1942, in Avilla she married Robert Scheurich. He preceded her in death in March, 2000. Mrs. Scheurich worked at Uniform Printing and Murphy's in Kendallville. She volunteered for many years at the Bargain Shop in Kendallville. She was a member of the Wayne Center United Methodist Church in Kendallville and the Second Time-Around Euchre Club. Virginia enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and shuffleboard. Frederick A. Smith

Frederick A. Smith, 82, of Turkey Lake, Hudson died Monday, October 2, 2017, at 2:50 a.m. at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville. He was born May 3, 1935, in Fort Wayne to John and Pearl (Sigafoose) Smith. On September 1, 1951, in Fort Wayne he married Carroll J. Brees. Mr. Smith moved to this area in 1970, coming from Fort Wayne. He worked as a Fort Wayne City Police Officer from October, 1964 until June, 1985 when he retired as Master Sergeant of the Homicide Division. He was a member of the Helmer United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing, football, racing with his son, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved the time he spent with his church family honoring the Lord. Surviving are his wife, Carroll J. Smith of Turkey Lake, Hudson; three daughters, Vickey (Cecil) Hamer of Hudson, Barbara Germano of Fort Wayne, and Janet (Marc) Stutzman of Hudson; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Shroyer of Albion. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred Smith, II, two sisters, and three brothers. Ora Dean Stackhouse

Ora Dean Stackhouse, 86, of Pleasant Lake died Saturday, September 2, 2017, in his residence. He was born December 6, 1930, in Corunna to Glen and Hazel (Bordner) Stackhouse. On September 14, 1951, in Ashley he married Rita Marie Helms. Mr. Stackhouse honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1955. He retired as a milk hauler and then worked for the Steuben County Highway Department. He attended the Pleasant Lake Baptist Church and was a member of the Odd Fellows in Angola, Orland American Legion Post 423, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, the Steuben Antique Power Association, Northeast Indiana Steam and Gas Association of LaGrange, and had served as a volunteer for the Pleasant Lake Fire Department. Ora enjoyed tinkering on engines of any kind, especially Maytag hit-and-miss engines. He also enjoyed his Farmall tractor, driving his golf cart around town, and watching IU versus Purdue basketball. He loved when friends came into the garage and talked in his man cave where he had his own television and refrigerator. Keeping his mind sharp with word puzzles, he also loved to tell stories and jokes, especially the "pull my finger" joke, and he dearly loved his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Rita Stackhouse of Pleasant Lake; four daughters, Deborah (Ira) Leslie of Ashley, Arvilla Stackhouse of Ashley, Angela D. (Eric) Sauter of Angola, and Rachael (Ken) Collins of Valparaiso; 12 Grandchildren, Doug, Travis, Courtney, Gary Jr, Arrita, Michael, Brittney, Payne, Hannah, Ashley, Nicole, and Garrett; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill (Gloria) Stackhouse of Angola. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Bogert; a son, Doug Stackhouse, Sr.; three sisters, Gladys, Lois, and Ruth; and eight brothers, Allen, Raymond, Paul, Robert, Albert, John, Dallas, and Ralph. Ernest Allen Stahl, 69, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 after battling pancreatic cancer. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on March 7, 1948. He enjoyed competition shooting, fishing, spending time outdoors, and traveling out West. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. Dixie M. Stouder, 83, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Dixie worked with Seyferts and most recently with Plastics Composites Co. where she retired. She was a member of Community of Christ Church, and an active volunteer at Parkview Randallia. Kenneth E. Stout, 68, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Kenneth graduated from South Side HS in 1966. He worked as a Truck Driver and Security officer with Several local companies before retiring. He was a member of Three Rivers Baptist Church, and the Fort Wayne Community Fishing Club. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, camp, ice fish, trap turtles, and also enjoyed grilling. Kenneth Jay Stutzman

Kenneth Jay Stutzman, 74, of Middlebury, died at 11:08 am on Friday, August 18, at his residence. His death was unexpected and was due to natural causes. He was born on May 22, 1943 in Elkhart County to Harry, Sr. and Ida (Miller) Stutzman. On April 2, 1964 in LaGrange County he married Erma P. Miller, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are four daughters, Elaine Kay (John) Yutzy, Leona "Jean" (Marion) Yutzy, Doris Ann (John) Troyer, Regina Rose (Brent) Miller all of Middlebury; three sons, Joe Devon (LaVera) Stutzman of Middlebury, Dean Jay (Linda) Stutzman of Shipshewana, James Arlin (Waneta) Stutzman of LaGrange; 17 grandchildren; a great grandson; three sisters, Mary Bontrager, Barbara (Lavern) Miller, Esther (Mark) Bender all of Middlebury; five brothers, Joe (Ruth Ann) Stutzman, Howard (Lena) Stutzman both of Middlebury, Harry (Velda) Stutzman Jr. of Shipshewana, David (Ida) Stutzman, Jerry (Lori) Stutzman both of Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Miller; two granddaughters, Michele Renae Stutzman and Jenna Elaine Yutzy; two brothers-in-law, David Bender and Eli Bontrager. Kenneth was a farmer, auctioneer and began his Tour Business in 1985, Buggy Lane Tours in 1997, which he still was operating and founded Boardwalk Gospel Music. His love for Christ and people was evident in his daily life. He was a member of Townline Mennonite Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 20, and 1:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, August 21, at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S. 1000 W. Shipshewana. There also will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Tuesday, August 22, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastors Dean Yoder and Amos Raber, Jr. and Evangelist Nelson Coblentz. Burial will be in Miller-Glick-Stutzman Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be made out to the Townline Mennonite Church to be given to the Orphanage Project in Belize, where Kenneth was planning a mission later this year.

Li-Chuan Tang

Li-Chuan Tang, 51, a resident of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on August 30, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on May 28, 1966 in Taiwan Republic of China. The youngest daughter of Cheng-Ping Tang and Sui-Li Tang Chang. She immigrated to the United States in 2004. While in Taiwan she studied design. She was a CNA at Kingston Care in Fort Wayne for the last two years. She loved her two boys and had a desire to learn. She had a great passion to help people. She was also a member of the Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Li-Chuan is survived by two sons, Isaiah Tsai and Jerimiah Tsai; her parents, Cheang-Ping Tang and Sui-Li Tang Chang; two sisters, Li-Mei Tang and Kuei-Mei (Dennis) Wenholz; a brother, Wei-Ta (Hui-Lien) Tang. Visiting hours will take place at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Services will begin at 3:00 PM, at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church on September 3, 2017, with Pastors Bill Mueller and Alex Duff. Mary Ann (Bellis) Ternet

Mary Ann Ternet, 90, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Parkview Hospital - Randallia in Fort Wayne. She was born on Sunday, February 27, 1927 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Frederick Bellis and the late Marguerite (Zirkelbach) Bellis. She was married to Vondale Ternet and he preceded her in death. Mary Ann was a lifelong farmer in the Monroeville area. Mary Ann liked to play Yahtzee with her sister and do puzzles. She also looked forward to her Sunday breakfast and car ride with her caregiver and special nephew, Dan Lahrman. She loved watching her special country programs on T.V. and old western shows on Saturday nights. Mary Ann enjoyed the last few years living with her caregiver and nephew, Dan. Survivors include her brother, Erwin Bellis of Edgerton, IN; sister, Kate Lothamer of Monroeville, IN; sister, Dee Clevenger of Edgerton, IN; and nephews & nieces also. She was preceded in death by several siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville with Rev. Ralph Klinker officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in New Haven. Alice Marie Trumbull, 90, of Fremont and formerly of Albion went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 7:32 p.m. in Northern Lakes Nursing Home in Angola. She was born August 25, 1927 in Burr Oak to David and Flavia (Albert) Tucker. On September 4, 1948 she married Carl Trumbull. He preceded her in death October, 2003. Alice was a homemaker and a lifetime Noble County resident. She was a member of Independent Full Gospel Church in Ashley. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Rose Back of Fremont; adopted daughter, Laura Cusick of Waterloo and her family; a grandson, Bradley Weimer; a sister, Deloris Parsley of Stearns, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Mable (Ralph) Creech of Auburn; and her church family. Christopher Allen VanHoozer, 30, of Middlebury, died at 5:45 pm, on Sunday, October 8, in Middlebury. He was born on November 23, 1986, in Goshen, to Lorraine (Mullis) Miller. Surviving along with his mother Lorraine (Dale) Miller of Middlebury, is a daughter, Bayleigh Lorraine VanHoozer and a son, Kohbey Lowell VanHoozer both of Staunton, VA; three brothers, Danny Ray VanHoozer of Milford, Cory Wade of Tucson, AZ, Rob Wade of Elkhart; one niece, three nephews; grandparents, Nina & Barry Weldy of Shipshewana. Christopher had worked in area woodworking shops including the mill room at Jayco. He was a quiet person with a heart of gold. He loved his children, brothers and friends and enjoyed campfires. Cynthia "Cande" Vaughn, 64, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. Born in Winchester, Indiana, Cande was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ellen Thomas. Cande earned her bachelors degree in human resources from Harrison College. She was the owner of Hartford City Medical Transportation for many years. Cande loved making beautiful crochet items. Her greatest joy in life was the adoption of her two boys, Jayce and Jonathan. Paul Jude Venderley

Paul Jude Venderley, 77, of Rome City died Saturday, August 12, 2017, in his residence. He was born November 14, 1939, in Fort Wayne to Paul and Joan (Bobay) Venderley. On June 13, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Theresa L. Neuhaus. She survives at Rome City. Mr. Venderley honorably served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Fort Wayne City Police Department after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City. Paul loved being outdoors whether he was hunting, sitting in the woods, or just enjoying the lake. Joseph L. Wagner, 73, of Monroeville, IN passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, at 1:20pm at Parkview Supportive Care on Randallia in Fort Wayne, following a brief illness. He was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1943, in Allen County the son of the late Walter Wagner and the late Mary (Ryan) Wagner. He married Judy Marquardt on December 28, 1963, in Monroeville. Joe retired in 2006, after 25 years of service as a welder at Strick Corporation in Monroe. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #420 Monroeville, and was a graduate of Monroeville High School Class of 1962. Survivors include his wife, Judy R. Wagner of Monroeville, IN; daughter, Jeanette Pierce of Monroeville, IN; son, Jeffrey (Lori) Wagner of Monroeville, IN; daughter, Janel (Dave) Voirol of Monroeville, IN; 4 grandchildren: Nicole (Joseph) Pickering, James S. Pierce Jr., Catherine Voirol, and Jonathan Wagner; 3 step grandchildren: Ashleigh (Doug) Kayser, Abby Gerardot, Alisha (Noah) Bontrager; 3 great grandchildren: Samuel Mihm, Levi Pickering and Nathaniel Pickering; 3 step great grandchildren: Sophia, Adeline and Nolan Kayser; sister, Delores "Babe" Richman of Hoagland, IN; sister, Judy (Tom) Rothgeb of Monroeville , IN; sister, Mary Jo Wagner of New Haven, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon Rose (Minnick) Walden

Surrounded by her family, Sharon Rose Walden (Gra), entered eternal life on Friday, October 6, 2017. Her spirit is carried on by her husband of 53 years, Ronald B. Walden, her three children Scott (Shelly) Walden, Gregory Walden, Michelle (Anthony) David; her grandchildren Ashley, Zachary, Alexa and Xavier Walden; Joel, Anthony, Nathaniel and Rylan David. Brothers Robert (Georgeann) Minnick, Richard Minnick, nieces and nephew and an extended family of friends who all loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kennedy Aerin Walden, her parents Theodore J. Jr. and Magdalena A. (Vorich) Minnick, sister Rosemarie Recht and brother Theorodore L. Minnick. Sharon was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, IN and graduate of Central Catholic HS. For the most recent 25 years, Sharon and Ron have shared a beautiful life together in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Sharon was an entrepreneur and the foundation from which the family owned business was built on. She loved so many things in life, but none more than her family. She was beautiful inside and out, she was kind, intelligent, steadfast in her beliefs and above all compassionate; she was and is the heart and soul of the Walden family. Gra, simply put, was perfect. She will be incredibly missed by those she so selflessly devoted herself to, and will remain eternally in our minds and in our hearts. Maribel J. (Gustin) Wegmann

Maribel J. Wegmann, age 91, of Butler passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Laurel's of DeKalb in Butler. She was born in Allen County on June 17, 1926 to Chester and Clara (Jude) Gustin. She was a 1944 graduate of Harlan High School. She married Roland Wegmann on July 15, 1950 in Woodburn. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2012. Mrs. Wegmann worked at Sheller Globe in Grabill and Rexall Pharmacy in Butler retiring in 1992. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn. Maribel was an avid reader and enjoyed baking. She volunteered at DeKalb Memorial Hospital for several years and she also volunteered for several years at the DeKalb County Fair parking cars. Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law; Dale and Claire Wegmann of Denver, Colorado. Son and daughter-in-law; Keith and Terri Wegmann of Vancouver, Washington. Son; Kent Wegmann of St. Paul, Minnesota. Son; Dennis Wegmann of Fort Wayne. Daughter and son-in-law; Patricia and Johnny Hickman of Ashley. Frank B. Wiedman, 88, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in New Haven. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Benjamin B and Emily B Wiedman. Frank graduated from Central HS and was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He was a Letter Carrier with U.S. Postal Service for 22 years, retiring in 1989. His memberships included, Hope United Methodist Church, Community Harvest Food Bank. Senior Pack Methodist Men, and the American Legion Post of New Haven, IN. Frank was an avid IU fan, enjoyed woodworking and had a lifetime passion collecting HO electronic trains. B. Joan "Jo" Wildermuth, 89, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Jo was a graduate of North Side High School in 1946. She worked as a receptionist with Lincoln Life Insurance for 7 years, Lutheran Hospital for 17 years, and most recently at Trinity English Lutheran Church. She was an active member at Trinity English Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Dorcas Circle and the Church Chancel Choir. Jo was a former member of the Lutheran Choral Society. Surviving are her sons, Mark (Mary Leigh) Wildermuth of Mt. Vernon, OH, and Matt (Marjorie) Wildermuth of Naperville, IL; daughter, Kathy Wildermuth of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Lou Fagan of Bloomington, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Dr. Charles A. Wilson

Dr. Charles A. Wilson, SCB, 79, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Bronx, NY, Charles completed his undergraduate work at Long Island University and later earned his Doctorate from the London School of Business. His early experience as a management consultant led him to relocate the family to Fort Wayne, where he owned and operated several small businesses. He retired in 2004 as CEO of Connor Corporation. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Knights of Malta, and the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. He was a good friend, loving husband and father, known for his good sense of humor. In addition to his own children he was a strong father figure to extended family and close friends. A true son of Ireland, he reveled in an eponymous cocktail and a good story told in his finest Gaelic brogue. Aubrey M. Williams

Aubrey M. Williams, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 6, 2017. Born in Boaz, Alabama, Aubrey was the son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Williams. Aubrey was a welder and mechanic for International Harvester, American Hoist, Truck Transport Equipment and Lincoln Way International until his retirement. In his youth, Aubrey enjoyed camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, playing horseshoes, building anything out of metal, and being in his garage restoring cars and tinkering. Aubrey was an avid animal lover, including the many dogs he had over the years. He loved his family and cherished all his grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Terry Hettinger of Fort Wayne, Karen "Jan" Miller of Avilla, Lisa (Mark) Hettinger, Robert (Jaime) Scribner both of Fort Wayne;10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Hubert (Mary) Williams of Columbia City, Mary Brown of FL, and his dog, Sparky. William O. Wright

William O. "Bill" Wright, 77, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Bill was the son of the late Evan Wright and Mildred Russell. Bill graduated from North Side High School class of 1959. He worked with Tokheim Corp. for 41 years, prior to his retirement. Bill had a hilarious yet corny personality. He loved talking and joking with others on a daily basis. He was a member of the UAW 1539. Alton Yoder

February 4, 1938 -- August 11, 2017
Alton Yoder, 79, of Goshen, died at 4:25 pm on Friday, August 11 at his residence after a short battle with cancer and Myelodysplastic Syndrome. He was born on February 4, 1938 near Shipshewana, son of Noah J. and Mattie J. (Yoder) Yoder. On May 21, 1961 in Nappanee, he married his best friend, Dorothy Mae Mullet; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter, Doreen (Lynn) Hershberger of Middlebury; two sons, Arlin (Rhonda) Yoder of Middlebury, Tony (Carole) Yoder of Graham, NC; nine grandchildren: Kristin (Greg) Yoder, Stephanie Hershberger, Heidi (Joshua) Holman, Eric Hershberger, Joshua Yoder, Jonathon Yoder, Jason Yoder, Darin Yoder, Alice Yoder; two great-grandchildren: Braxton and Natalie Yoder; four sisters, Susan (Levi) Lambright, Katie (Monroe) Yoder, Dorothy (Isaac) Borkholder, Edna (Alva) Miller; three brothers, Menno (Alice) Yoder, Daniel (Viola) Yoder, Amzie (Mae) Yoder; sister-in-law, Louise Yoder. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Emma Yoder; and two brothers, Ervin and LeRoy Yoder. Alton worked at Honeyville Metal, Starcraft RV, and Miller's Building Supply. He enjoyed spending the winters in Sarasota, FL. He was a member of Gideons International. Alton loved his family and enjoyed golfing, biking, bocce ball, and woodworking. Alton accepted Jesus as Lord of his life at the age of 18 and has been a member of Townline Mennonite Church for 61 years. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 15 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury, and one hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, August 16 at Townline Mennonite Church, Shipshewana. Mahala K. Yoder, 33, of Shipshewana died at 10:06 am on Thursday, August 24, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne from injuries sustained in a bicycle/auto accident on State Road 5 in Shipshewana earlier that day. She was born on September 17, 1983 in Hazleton, IA, to Aaron A. and Katherine (Troyer) Borntreger. On June 18, 2009 in Bethany, MO she married Marvin N. Yoder, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are her parents in Welch, OK; six sisters, Mary (Reuben) Miller of Harwood, MO, Kathryn (Kenneth Lee) Yoder of Welch, OK, Martha (Daniel) Yoder of Princeton, MO, Fannie (Jonathan) Miller, Barbara Borntreger and Rebecca Borntreger all of Welch, OK; four brothers, Edward (Mary) Borntreger of Bethany, MO, John (Ada) Borntreger of Princeton, MO, Abraham (Emma) Borntreger of Garnett, KS, Andrew (Katie) Borntreger of Princeton, MO. She was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Borntreger and a brother, Aaron K. Borntreger, Jr. Mahala was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Friday, August 25, all day Saturday, August 26, at the Leonard Schwartz residence, 8195 West State Road 120 Shipshewana. Infant Maria LuAnn Yoder, stillborn daughter of Leon Ray and Susan Kay (Yoder) Yoder, of Middlebury, was delivered at 10:44 am on Saturday, September 2, at Goshen Hospital. Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Krista Jean Yoder, Lisa Danae Yoder; brother, Jason Lee Yoder all at home; grandfather, Lloyd Yoder of Middlebury; grandparents, Melvin and Vera Yoder of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, LuElla Yoder. The family will hold graveside services at Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Paul L. Yoquelet, 85, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 quietly at his home with family by his side in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Paul worked as a director/treasurer with Cellular 2000 Telephone Company for 15 years and was the owner of Yoquelet's Tavern. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Paul was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards. Ruth Anna (Brown) Young

Ruth Anna Young, 91, of Green Center, passed away on August 25, 2017 in Columbia City. She was born on August 6, 1926 in Green Township, Noble County, daughter of Nelson and Wildah (Zumbrun) Brown she spent her formative years in Green Center. Ruth Anna was married on September 15, 1946 to Lloyd T. Young. The couple stayed in Green Township where they raised their two children. She worked as a county auditor and retired from Farm Credit Services in 1991. She was a lifetime member of the Blue River Church of the Brethren. She was also a long time Noble County 4 - H Leader. Ruth Anna is survived by two sisters, Mary Ester Mills and Hazel Truelove; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd; her son, John Young; and her daughter, Carol Young. Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM, at Blue River Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
