Robert F. "Bob" Hogge, 77, went home to his Lord and Savior and his wife, Mary, on February 10, 2018. He was born on October 15, 1940, in Wheelwright, KY, the son of the late, Mitchell and Maultie (Stacey) Hogge.
Growing up in coal camps from Hazard Kentucky to Frog Alley West Virginia, Bob and his siblings lead an adventurous childhood. Through epic ball games, schoolyard "boxing", collecting scrap metal in their Radio Flyer, and singing on the radio they developed a large repertoire of stories to regal their children and grandchildren with. Their close bond survived through the many years, moves, and growing families. Their love for each other was critical in overcoming the loss of their mother at a young age, and their own loss of children over the years. They left a legacy of the importance of family for the next generations.
Bob started singing on the radio with his siblings as a child. Throughout his life he continued to sing, and learned to play the guitar as an adult. Bob and Mary molded their young family of seven into a gospel singing group, traveling to churches and singing on a local radio show. Through the years and moves, Bob and Mary made sure that their families were active members of church, including Faith Gospel Tabernacle in Charleston WV, Roles Chapel Baptist Church in Forest Hill WV, and Harvest Free Will Baptist Church in Fort Wayne IN. Family car trips were done in four-part harmony. Their love of music continues through their children and grandchildren, with many who sing and play instruments. In his later years, Bob enjoyed being a member of a trio that sang at local nursing homes and churches.
To support his family, Bob worked as a truck driver at Martin Enterprises, and retired from Polar King International. He couldn't sit still for long though, and was soon working part-time for Penske. Bob took pride in his work and loved the adventure of travel, two qualities he and Mary instilled in their children.
In his spare time, his interest was in old cars, anything Mopar, music, and playing cards. He thoroughly enjoyed the many years he spent coaching youth sports of all kinds. His favorite activities were Euchre, singing, enjoying his wife's cooking, road trips, and referring to himself in 3rd person.
Bob was hard working, opinionated, funny, and smart. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle - all roles that he enjoyed. Bob loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He taught his sons/grandsons that a man was sentimental and loving, and his daughters/granddaughters that being smart was beautiful.
Those left here to miss him are his children; Debra (Michael) Bishop of China Grove NC, Robert (Yvonne Humphreys) "Hoppy" Hogge II of McGrady NC, James (Jane) Hogge of London England, Jerri (Brian) Gore of New Haven IN, and William Hogge of New Haven IN; grandchildren, Nikki, Brandi, Jay, Joel, Samuel and Brianna, Michael, Angel and Robert III, David, Marion, Jamey and Ruth, Keegan, Kip, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Noah, and Mason, Jackson and Charleigh, Allison and Elijah, Lillian and Addilyn, Matthias and Logan, Avery, Rayleigh, Austin and Paige, Bailey and Harley, Jakai; big brother, Jim (Mary Lou) Hogge; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Sharon Hogge; brother, Richard (Nancy) Arbaugh; brothers, Larry and Steve Hogge; sister, Carol Giratas; so many nieces and nephews, and members of the Pack family that he loved and enjoyed friendships with.
He was preceded in death by his love and wife of 48 years, Mary Ruth (Pack) Hogge; son, Jackie Dix; sister, Wilma Young; brothers, Jerry and Bill Hogge. The loss of his loved ones troubled him and he missed them all tremendously. We are so grateful to know that they are rejoicing together now.
Bob's Homegoing will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1pm, with calling 2 hours prior at Harvest Free Will Baptist Church, 5903 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
Burial will take place in Harlan Cemetery, Harlan, IN. Dinner for family and friends will be served at Harvest Free Will Baptist after the burial service.
The family would like to thank two very special people that blessed Bob in his final years. DeDe Handerson and Jessica Karn - your kindness and friendship brought him so much joy and laughter when things were very hard for him. We will forever thank God for you and your beautiful, loving hearts.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Free Will Baptist Church & Shriners Hospitals for Children (855-401-4897). Arrangements

Donald J Huhn of Jackson, Wyoming died February 12, 2018 (age 90) of natural causes.
Don was born on November 7, 1927 in Van Wert, Ohio to Joseph Huhn and Elizabeth Stein. After going to one semester of college, Don enlisted with the Navy in 1946. He served his two year enlistment in Chicago where he met his wife Lorraine Young. They were married February 19, 1949 and lived in Chicago for a couple years where their first son Mike was born.
The family moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Don attended John Carroll University. He graduated in 1953 with a degree in accounting. After college they moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where Don started his career with General Electric. Don was a computer systems analyst for 37 years with General Electric.
Don and Lorraine had 5 more sons, Chris, Larry, Tony, Dan & Randy. They also had a daughter Gail who died in infancy. Starting in 1960 the family started taking month long summer vacations to the western United States and Canada. Yellowstone and Disneyland became favorite destinations on these yearly trips. The family traveled in a VW van that was custom built by Don so they could sleep both inside the van and on top of it in a tent. The family's love of the west, especially the Yellowstone area, led to four of his sons moving to Jackson, Wyoming.
Don retired from General Electric in 1992. For the next 13 years, Don and Lorraine traveled even more. They made a yearly trip to Hawaii, one of their favorite places. Don was known for his Hawaiian shirts that he wore year round. Walt Disney World was also a favorite yearly destination. He was a huge fan of Disney. They would also always take a western trip that would include Disneyland, Yellowstone and Jackson, Wyoming.
Don also enjoyed keeping parrots. He had six of them, one to replace each of his sons he always joked. He also enjoyed working with stained glass, wood working, working on cars and reading.
Don lost his wife Lorraine after 56 years of marriage in 2005. He continued to travel to Hawaii and Disney World. He also started to take longer trips to Jackson, Wyoming sometimes twice a year to spend time with his sons and their families.
In September 2012, while vacationing in Hawaii, Don suffered a severe stroke that affected his mobility, his speech and his ability to read and write. No longer able to live on his own, he moved to Jackson, Wyoming to be closer to three of his sons and their families. Don became a resident of Legacy Lodge assisted living center and lived there until his death.
Don was a devout member of the Catholic Church. Don was known for his great sense of humor and his positive cheery outlook on life. His warm smile and outgoing personality won over everyone who knew him. He never complained about what he had lost because of his stroke but instead was grateful for what he had. He was a great inspiration and role model to all that knew him especially his family.
Don is survived by five sons, their wives and 11 grandchildren, Chris & Peggy Huhn of Battleground, Indiana and their two children Brent & Megan, Larry & Barb Huhn of Jackson, Wyoming and their four children Arte, Maria, Leslie & Savannah, Tony & Cindy Huhn of Jackson, Wyoming and

F. Joan Johnson departed this world Sunday, February 18th, to once again be with her loving husband of 66 years, Richard whom she had buried only 5 weeks previously. One daughter commented, "It is sweet to imagine them dancing together again, as they loved to do for so many years." Born, August 13, 1931, in Danville, West Virginia, Joan had the strength, determination and perseverance that defined the women of her generation. She graduated Cardome Academy of Covington, Kentucky, in 1949, returned to her parents' home in Muncie, IN, and married Richard on September 29th, 1951. Over the years, Joan embraced the mentoring of many and passed her gifts on to her family, friends, church and community. Devoted to marriage and motherhood, she raised her own 10 children and opened her heart and home to fostering newborns. Her energy was endless and her talents and passions were many: gardening, roses, cooking, baking, sewing, faith, finances and forever helping the hungry, needy and lonely in whatever way God prompted. Her unwavering commitment to all she believed and valued encouraged those who knew her to grow in strength and character. While her 'volunteer' efforts were invaluable, she also worked for the Fort Wayne Juvenile Probation Department and Stat Care. Because her family was her greatest pride and joy, she would share the numbers and details readily and often. She is survived by her three sons, and seven daughters: Mel (Sandy) Johnson of Royal Oak, MI; Thom (Susan) Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN; Karen (Phil) Lake of Craigville, IN; Richard (Elaine) Johnson of Decatur, TX; Cathy (Scott) McLeish of Ft. Wayne, IN; Carole (Tom) Bills of Whitley County South Whitley, IN; Mary Johnson (Ed Garr) of Ripley, NY; Joan (Dave) Hippenhammer of Ft. Wayne, IN; Judi (Brad) Holsinger of Indianapolis, IN; Darcey (Mark) McNeal of Anderson, IN; 31 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, sister Katherine Solomon of Saint Albans, West Virginia. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Florence Federer as well as her sisters Elizabeth Federer and Mary Patronik. With the deaths of Joan and her husband Richard falling so closely together, family and friends
are feeling the combined loss of a strong and steadfast couple. While we are grateful for their lifetime example of faith, hope and love;
they will leave a deep and lasting void in the lives of all who knew and loved them dearly. May we honor them by remembering and
emulating all that was good. Mass of Christian Burial is 2:30 pm Saturday February 24, 2018 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception,
