OBITUARY:

April 21, 2005, Kendallville News-Sun

Larry D. Ritchie, 55, of Kendallville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 20, 2005 in the emergency room at Parkview Noble Hospital.    Mr. Ritchie had been the plant manager at Group Dekko for 25 years and was currently general manager of Team Quality Services in Auburn. He was a member of the first class to graduate from East Noble High School in 1967.  Mr. Ritchie was born May 26, 1949 in Hindman, Ky., to Armond and  June (Campbell) Ritchie. On Feb. 24, 2001 in Leo, he married Sheyrl W. Hamman.  She survives.  Also surviving are his father and stepmother, Armond and Edna Ritchie of Kendallville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Nila Ritchie of Ligonier, Brian and Robin Ritchie and Chad and Kendra Ritchie, all of Kendallville; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Cathy Ritchie of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Brent and Betty Ritchie of Battle Creek, Mich., Terry and Patty Ritchie of Austin, Texas, and Kenny and Keila Ritchie of Rome City; a sister and brother-in-law Junie and Eddie Slone of Kendallville; three grandsons, Nicolas (Nicholas) Ritchie, Joshua Ritchie, and Owen Ritchie; and two granddaughters, Jordan Ritchie (Jordan was listed with the boys so it was 4 grandsons and one granddaughter and I changed that to 2 granddaughters as well as changing the number of grandsons to three) and Kaylin Ritchie.  He was preceded in death by his mother in 1986.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Reiber of Union Chapel Church in Fort Wayne officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.  Calling will be from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and one hour prior to service Friday.
