Charley Zuck died last Sunday at Brooke, Indiana, and his funeral took place there Monday. He was graduated from the Crawfordsville High School last year and while his death was not unexpected the news of it will sadden his many young friends here. -s

No one regrets more keenly the untimely death of Charley Zuck than does Owen T. Johnson, who was Charley’s roommate at the time he graduated last summer and who attended the exercises at his own invitation. A letter is now at hand written by him the 11th day of February, in which no impending sickness was mentioned, but his young heart was full of plans for the summer. Chief among them was a visit to Crawfordsville to attend the high school commencement again and to meet and greet all his friends; hoped they were all alive and wished so much to hear from some of his friends. Pure and spotless character, he has escaped the unequal struggle for a place in this cold and crowded world which causes so many boys to falter and to fall by the wayside. Plenty of room up there Charley for the expansion of your pure soul and realizations of a higher life anchored safely.
