Zook - Martha Whitsett

Waynetown Oct 4 - Martha J. Zook, widow of John W. Zook, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mayme Krug Monday night following a brief illness. Mrs. Zook suffered a broken hip last wednesday from which she was unable to recover. Mrs. Zook was born Sept 27, 1842 near Martinsville, daughter of Andrew and Rachel Pearcy Whitsitt. She was united in marriage to John W. Zook November 4, 1873. She was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Those surviving include Mrs. Krug and Mrs. Charles E. Small, a daughter also of Waynetown; one stepson, James Zook of Washington state; six grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The funeral services will be conducted from the home of Mrs. Krug Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. WH Newlin of Crawfordsville in charge. Burial in Waynetown masonic.
