ADVANCE – Ervin K. “Toots” Zimmerman, 59, of Rt. 4, a retired machinest for Stewart-Warner Co. at Lebanon, was fatally stricken Monday night in his home. He had been employed by the Ladoga Canning Co. at Lebanon prior to joining Stewart-Warner. Mr. Zimmerman was a veteran of World War II and had attended Pleasant View Christian Church near Lebanon. He also attended Advance High School. He was born in Max on April 3, 1917, a son of Henry E. and Pearl Shockley Zimmerman. He was married to Mary Frances Rance on March 21, 1925. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mardo of Lebanon; two sisters, Beulah Heise of Sedalia and Doris Cross of Rt. 6, Lebanon; and a brother, Harold of Rt. 4, Lebanon. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home at Lebanon with the Rev. Raymond Duff officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
